This was the best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks travelling around Costa Rica. The reception staff were amazing, so kind, informative and welcoming. The rooms are huge and spotless, the pool is also great - we saw lots of wildlife. They even have a courtesy shower & store your luggage after check out which was a big plus!

Pulling up to this hotel on the street you would never guess how lovely a property it is. The rooms are huge, the view from the lanai/porch in the room towards the back of the property is beautiful, and the staff, particularly the front desk staff, are extremely warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful two night stay and would highly it recommend it to other travelers.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Plaza Yara. Mauriel and Caleb made us feel right at home and were very friendly, professional, and helpful; both of them gave us great tips on where to go and helped us book a couple of excursions. The other staff, including our server in the restaurant, were also very pleasant and professional. The room was very spacious and clean, and the breakfast each day was delicious. The pool area was also clean and very relaxing. We were able to see scarlet macaws, a toucan, and monkeys right from the hotel. The mosaics throughout the hotel and art gallery in the lobby were beautiful and fun to look at. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything about the room and property was wonderful. I can't say enough of how thoughtfully well appointed was the room. They thought of everything in anticipation of guests needs, including sensors, unlimited coffee and lighting. The staff was incredible and especially the reception attendant Caleb, who helped us with sights and restaurant suggestions. Will be back if we come this way again.
