A family-run, beautifully renovated old motel in a quiet spot near a busy road. This was a great find when visiting a local friend recovering from surgery - close enough to visit, but not imposing as a guest. Once across the busy road, it's a 10-minute walk to a beach and casual restaurants. Easy to get in and out of on your visits in the area. I had a room with two double beds another friend and I shared. Great air conditioning, a nice living room area with modern applicances made it very homey. Everything was very clean, which we appreciated.

I really liked Founders. It's a modest motel, but had everything I would expect from a higher end spot. The rooms are 3-4 to single story building, so you can park less than 10 feet from your door. I rated the cleanliness a 5 out of 5, but I want to emphasize... it was spotless. The staff was friendly and helpful when I called to ask for late check-in since I was not sure what time I would arrive. Bed was very comfortable and I slept well both nights. Shower was a tad small, but no issue, and surprisingly good water pressure. I know both rooms either side of mine were occupied, but I heard not so much as a peep from either side. (so thick walls, civil guests, or both.) I had to do a bit of work while I was there, and Wifi was no issue. Not a whole lot to do in the neighborhood within walking distance, but Bristol town center is a ~10m drive away.

Room was quite small (no closet) but very clean and comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker were appreciated. Lovely grounds as well. We stayed two nights and would have appreciated clean towels the second night, but overall a good place to stay and convenient for what we needed.
