Location was perfect! House was super clean. It’s an older home and could definitely use some updated kitchen necessities that weren’t all rusted and unusable. Perfect for a family that doesn’t do a lot of cooking but that was our biggest deterrent. A big reason for renting this home was the fenced in area for toddlers to play, however, the yard is full of sticker burs. Check in and out was super easy and the ladies there were very communicative.

This wonderful home has all the amenities for a lovely stay. Furnishings are a little worn. Extras like blankets were scare and the WIFI was dreadful! (We used hot spots more than we ever have at a VRBO) But everything worked great. My complaint is that it didn’t have the extra special things that make a rental from an owner lovely - like instructions for appliances, or a book of fun things to do in the area, or menus for local restaurants. It definitely had a “corporate rental” feel. But it’s right on the beach with a private access gate to miles and miles of wonderful sand. It is close to Galveston, but feels much more laid back than Galveston (a free and frequent ferry ride away). And for seeing gators and turtles and other wildlife, the Jocelyn refuge can’t be beat!

Excellent and economical when comparing to similar properties ON the beach. Master Bedroom has a bit of a musty smell but plenty of fresh air so it was easy to air out. Great location! Kitchen had everything we needed.

Two Week Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this budget friendly rental. The location is right on the beach and only a short drive to stores and restaurants. The Nauti Beaver Hut is a fun place to hang out with fun activities and good music on the weekends. Tia Juanita’s is a must for us when we stay in Bolivar! If you are bringing small dogs, the gate at the driveway has gaps they can get through, so I recommend bringing something to put in front of it. There are sticker burrs so wear shoes when walking through the yard to the beach.

Pleasant Surprise

Four days before our check in we were informed our vacay rental would not be ready due to hurricane repairs. Mimosa Cove was one of the alternate choices. Incredible location, beautiful decor, clean, stocked and open spaces.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at this property before and it met my expectations. This year, it did not. I realize that the owners nor the real estate people have no control over the hurricanes, but the main reason I rented this property is for the yard. I paid $100 extra to bring my dog. About 2 days before my arrival, I was told that the fence was down and could not be repaired. We went anyway. It was a lot of work walking my dog each time they needed to go outside. The stairs are brutal!Also, there is a rotted place in the floor by the locking door. Also the underpinning has plywood and insulation missing from a year and a half ago.Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

It was nice, we have stayed in alot of rentals this one was the least personal one. But having the beach right at the gate and not having anyone around ( except for lawncare ppl at 8) was nice.
