Unfriendly Staff that acted inconvenienced anytime we asked for anything. Service was insanely slow. We booked privilege level and at our very first restaurant we were told told that some drinks had an up charge. Several bars we were at told us they wouldn’t give us upgraded alcohol even though it was sitting right there. Our A/C didn’t work well or keep the room very cool. One of the legs on one bed was completely broke off.

Vir and Kendall were amazing. Buffet was bland. Room service was slow. Mini fridge were allowed 2 beers a day for 2 adults more would be charged $3. Night entertainment was just loud music and dancing no show options that I would consider a show. Seaweed was not cleaned daily piled up. Little critters similar to a raccoon were everywhere. Lots of steps. Sorry just not a good experience.

The hotel was nice, staff were great. We upgraded to Privilege which was pretty expensive for what it was, however, I would not have wanted to be without it-- private butler, lounge, beach beds, and food and drink service from pool loungers. We were told we would have a "Privilege Junior suite" which clearly is described as having a separate living room--- we did not get this, we received a normal hotel room, and were told that it was a "suite" despite it clearly not being. That was part of the extra $200/day of Privilege upgrade, so that was not great. The food was okay. The buffet was pretty good for lunch and breakfast and the other restaurants were average---overall, cute hotel, the staff were so lovely and helpful, and the beach was really nice.

I honestly was impressed with our stay! I recently had the pleasure of staying, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome throughout my stay. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding. Every corner, from the lobby to the rooms and common areas, was spotless and well-maintained. It was clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping the property in top condition, which added an extra layer of comfort to my visit. The hotel had a lively and fun atmosphere, making it perfect for both relaxation and entertainment. Whether it was lounging by the pool, enjoying the on-site activities, or exploring the nearby attractions, there was never a dull moment. Beautiful property well maintained. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Veeree in the Activities Department was especially nice and caring. She checked on us every day to see if we were okay. The food was not bad for resort food, although I did get food poisoning one day in the buffet (Cream of shrimp soup) which was quite severe. One problem was the ala carte restaurants weren't always open, and you couldn't make a reservation before 9pm unless you were a premium member. This resort has a caste system, so the best areas of the beach and around the pool are reserved for premium members. Most of them are empty because a lot of the premium members are at the pool bar, but you still cannot use them. For that reason alone, I will not go back

My wife and I spent our Spring Break at the Ocean Maya Royale resort. This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort and we had a great time! The food was great and we enjoyed our time at the different restaurants. The blue team does an awesome job of letting everyone participate in the many activities throughout the day. Dali, Moises, Oswyn, Kendall, and Carlos were all awesome and helped us have a relaxing and fun vacation. I would definitely recommend this resort!

It was our first time at this resort and we absolutely loved it!! Everything was excellent! Staff is kind and serviable; food is abundant and delicious; activities are great. The resort itself is a little dated, but it didn't take anything away from all the other amenities. we had the Privilege status so we had our own butler (Alfredo- 5 stars) and special sections at the pool, beach area, and restaurants. To say that the food was delicious is an understatement. Every single meal was succulent! The shows at night and the activities & music at the pool during the day were always fun and diverse. my husband and I loved our 10 days there and would highly recommend it!

Beautiful beach, love the individual villas housing only 6 rooms per building. Food was better than I expected! Super friendly staff Kendall and Moises are absolute gems and the resort is lucky to have them!! Thank you for a fantastic first Mexican trip!!

We enjoyed our visit to Ocean Maya Royal. It was our first time staying there. The resort has a beautiful beach, good dining options and comfortable and clean rooms. If you are looking for relaxing atmosphere and nice swimmable beach it’s there. The breakfast buffet was not impressive, and could have better food choices and service. Overall nice place to stay

We were really pleased with the food, and how easy it was to find spots by both the pool and the ocean. The seaweed was a bit of an issue, and the beach being limited by a retaining wall was also a minor inconvenience, but we will definitely return here in the future. The staff were excellent!

Everything was so beautiful! The staff was excellent and very attentive. Special thanks to Margarita, who told us about the adventures into the jungle to zip line, drive ATVs, and jump into cenotes.
