WET bed, dirty apartment, TERRIBLE communication
When I crawled into bed at 10:30pm after having finally gotten my infant to sleep - the bed was soaking wet. Not just the sheets. The pillows, duvet etc were all WET. They also had a strong chemical smell to them. I was exhausted so I emailed over vrbo then fell asleep on the couch. I woke up the next morning to the suggestion that I dry the sheets myself (note, they smelled bad). They did not offer to make this right in any other way. I said this was not an ok response and then also mentioned the other cleanliness issues. There was a large toenail clipping in the toilet, hair in the sink, no soap in the hand soap dispenser, a puddle of water on the floor by the door, a dirty mop still in the washer, no washcloths in one of the bathrooms, a dirty soap holder in the shower in the same bathroom, no hand towels in the kitchen, no trash bag in the trash can, dishes still in the dishwasher. In addition, the stopper in the bathroom sink was broken, the coffee maker didn't work, one of the wall sockets was broken and another was not functional. I suggested that I not pay the cleaning fee as the apartment was not cleaned properly, and that I be refunded one night's stay (out of the three total) as I had to spend the first night on the couch. Over the next 5 days I continued to message with them. They said they would call me. They did not. They asked me to send photos to an email address. The email address was not valid. I tried and tried and tried. Only terrible responses followed.
