Inaccessible AC, No TV service, monster ants…

Adequate for weekend survival but enjoyable. Not as advertised with a bonus of gigantic carpenter ants. No TV service. Equipment disconnected. No AC without tracking down management company rep (with considerable difficulty) to REMOTELY turn on, off, or even adjust to changing spring temps. No response to complaints of ant invasion. No surprise it is evidently for sale.

Absolutely delighted with this place. Clean, comfortable with a warm inviting decor. The options and appliances for coffee/tea were impressive and we loved making our own lattes. We couldn’t figure out how to work ac but the property manager quickly responded and managed remotely.

Expensive rental for condition of home (compared to other VRBO's used by other family members),

We were in town for a wedding, so 5 adults were trying to get ready at the same time for multiple events. This home has 3 bedrooms but 2 are small and only provided a bed, chair and nightstand. Basics that should be, but were not, provided in all of the bedrooms include mirrors, dressers (so we could unpack), trashcans, and blinds that block the light from the stoplight that is right there. Two bedroom doors either stuck or would not latch or stay closed. Primary bath is really a VERY small powder room with a shower. Could not use both showers at the same time (only enough water pressure for 1 to work at a time). Kitchen cabinets were cluttered and full, leaving no place for us to put away any of our things. Most rooms need some serious updating, especially the kitchen and baths. Not having access to the second floor results in the three bedrooms being crammed in at the end of the hall. I gave the location a low rating because of the driveway configuration. We were almost hit twice pulling out of the driveway because it is a blind corner for cars turning right onto the road where this is located, and the driveway is right at the intersection. Location of the house related to highways and community activities is very good. Other positives include the property manager, flexibility in check-in and out times, lots of games provided and the yard is fabulous. This house has such potential but really missed the mark

Fantastic and comfortable stay

I to attend a recent graduation, our stay was comfortable and peaceful for entire family. The house has tons of space and amenities. The decor and quality is top notch. The lawn and patio area was extremely enjoyable. Also, the proximity to Trader Joe’s Starbucks, and other shopping was extremely beneficial. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking for peace of mind and comfort.

Great stay in a comfortable house

We really enjoyed our stay in this property--the house is spacious and well laid out and all the furniture is extremely comfortable. The lighting is excellent, which matters a lot to us, and the kitchen was one of the best stocked ones we've found in many years of vrbo stays. There are nice touches, like a great selection of board games and books relevant to the history of the area, as well as a wide array of up-to-date electronics. The location is convenient to many great spots: Longwood Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum (Andrew Wyeth). Winterthur Museum and Gardens, the American Helicopter Museum, Chanticleer Garden and of course Philadelphia. Speaking of location: although the house is right near a busy part of rte 202, the house is extremely quiet. Although the property is listed on vrbo, it's managed by a company called Evolve. Once you have made your final payment they send you the name of a local contact and ours was very responsive and helpful. But if you have a question before your final payment (like, say, making a change to the reservation) contacting Evolve can be tricky. We found that email didn't work well at all--replies were slow and often generic. We had better luck on the phone; the wait was fairly long but once we got through we got terrific service. One other odd thing: although vrbo has requested this review the trip doesn't appear in our list of past trips on the vrbo website, nor did it appear as an upcoming trip before we left. Not a big deal, but mildly frustrating.

I used to live in Wayne, I grew up there. Came to visit friends with my cousin and the house was perfectly lovely and felt like home. Beautiful property will stay again.
