Worst VRBO experience ever
Many issues here, it was the owner/manager who was still there cleaning at 5pm, even after requesting to get in early at 2pm to which he said no that he had painting to do. We arrived at 5:15pm, he was still in house. He had left the bathroom cleaning supplies out, rugs in disorder, no garbage bags, some electric outlets did not work or did not have covers on them/wires exposed. The pool area is filled with clutter, ie: cement mixer, spare tire. The inside of house was fine, a bit outdated, door knobs were loose. Once we were able to get in and thought he had left, we noticed he was still hanging around in his car waiting for workers to show up to do maintenance and other tasks around the house for the weekend while we were there. Then shortly after two men were walking around the yard close to the house. I expressed my concern to him, so he did finally leave and reschedule his maintenance. There is someone else living in the back of the house so it is not exactly private with another car in the driveway. I did ask for a refund and would go find another location as it felt awkward/unsafe staying there after the confrontation with the owner/manager about the issues, but he declined a refund. We ended up staying the weekend which was fine. Avoided the pool as it is a community pool with the person living in the back of the house, and all of the clutter. Hence, the night time photo of the pool. I spoke with VRBO who was no help in the matter. They actually hung up on me.
