The room needed a total makeover especially the furniture and carpet ( it looks over used not antique! Worst than a cheaper motel you can find in US!) and the night staff seems trained to hassle customers it’s like being a customer you got the burden of the proof) . It’s just a place to crash not a place for a vacation you picture for Paris the advertisements is not what it is.

Not very good.

The hotel seems very old. I sort of liked the old decor in the lobby but the rest of the hotel was very run down. We actually got upgraded to a larger "suite" but besides the bathroom, which was nice, the room was old, dirty, and rundown. The carpet was stained, the walls were stained, but the mini bar was stocked with decent goods. The view was not good (just another old building), but the most important part was the lack of cleanliness. The hotel needs to be updated with fresh paint and carpets at least. The bathroom was nice, but the shower had no curtain; in fact, it was a bathtub with a detachable shower head. We actually stayed another night in a different hotel nearby that was much much better.

Good location to train station

Short walk the train station which was my main reason for choosing this hotel. Staff was very kind and helpful. Only slight downside was that the hotel needed some updating.

fine, but overpriced

The hotel is moderately run down, but still is comfortable if you are willing to overlook some things. My room had paint peeling in the bathroom; the shower would spray water everywhere and on to the bathroom floor. the elevator was broken a couple of times during the week i was there, but they would fix pretty quickly. the carpeting on the stairs was threadbare overall the hotel is fine, but not really worth the price. still do NOT get the breakfast option. the dining room is in the basement, the food looked questionable. most troubling, I saw a mouse trap on the floor next to a dining table.

The position is great, in the very city centre and near by tube station. The hotel is not a 4stars at all. Old and a bit decadent. The room was very small with insufficient day light and some mould on the walls. On a positive note The bathroom was small but nicer if compared to room. An old wall hairdryer from the ‘80 but overall very clean.

Upon our entering the hotel, we immediately noticed how run down the lobby was. They took our passports and made a copy of our credit cards. After looking around the lobby, I asked to see the room first before our final check in. The room had no A/C and it was over 85 degrees in Paris on that day and got even warmer the following days. They brought a portable unit which was placed in the middle of the room and they had to hang the A/C docking through the big window which had to stay open at all times. Not only did this set up cause a loud continuous noise, but it made the room unbearably warmer because the window had to stay open. Additionaly there was no shower and just a tub which reminds one of the the old western type movies. It was obvious that it was very unhealthy to stay there. I asked the hotel manager if they had a room with an air conditioner and a shower, but he said they did not. He agreed with me that is not healthy to stay there and gave my passport copy back and crossed out my credit card number and assured me that they will not charge my card. We had to walk around the area to find another hotel and pay a higher price to be able to get a room at the last moment out of desperation. A few days later I noticed someone in their accounting had charged my American express card for one night. I have called my credit card company and they are investigating this matter. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel and believe me there are much nicer hotels here

From the get go, I could tell that the pictures make the property look way better than what it actually is. It wasn't until we got to the room that we confirmed our first impression. The room itself looked dirty - the one chair was on the verge of breaking with a questionable stain and hole. The sofa bed was obviously old with lumps, so I had to be very careful while climbing in and out. The room itself is actually way tinier than the preview images make it appear. Since it was so old with carpets that probably haven't been replaced in a long, long time, the room itself had such a strong, horrible odor that we had to keep the windows open so that we would not feel so suffocated. There was also no air conditioning which was another reason to keep the windows open. Outside the window, the railing was rusty. There were few outlets to charge any of our devices, making it a very inconvenient stay. Also, there was only one mirror in the whole room, which was moderately tall but literally a hand's width. Although it appears there are two elevators, the main one was not working during our stay. The one that was working, unfortunately, was so small that only two-three people can fit at a time - our luggage had to be sent up with the bellhop in three trips, which we also had to tip him for (normally we would just take our luggage by ourselves but we were pressured to do this by staff. The staff made do the best they could it seems, but the whole property is a mess.
