It worst resort/ hotel in my life. Do not know why it is called a resort. Old, ragged, outdated. Does not provide wash clothes, did not have pillow covers. Had to ask for them. Large spider in the room. Booked for 4 nights. Stayed one. We had friends at different facility. We got a real resort. Photos are deceiving. Nothing more than indoor camping.
Checked & checked out so quick. First, the room’s WiFi was so weak & slow. Had to go to the desk to get WiFi. There’s no hot water so you’re showering with cold water. Location was very far from everything. I asked Expedia for a refund but nothing was refunded as of now.
Honestly exceeding our expectations. Ananyana’s facilities and rooms were clean and much bigger than their photos portray. We had a great stay here.
The food was good and reasonably priced too.
There was nothing wrong with property apart from fact that it is middle of nowhere and terribly overpriced I paid Expedia £129/day I would not have paid more then £29/day its basically a room with no perks
The food was the key highlight.
However the amenities and furnitures can be improved.
Resort does not have a room service for use and has issues with spiders and pests.
In middle of my 3 days stay I had to switch to another close by resort due to the conditions.

Good food.
Friendly staff and great service.
Powdery white sand beach.
Excellent location if you want to be away from the crowd.
Property and amenities need some upgrading tough.
worst resort i have stayed in ever. it should be demolished. photos are very misleading. no wi.fi in rooms, only outside, no tv, no wardrobe, no reception area, nothing to do here but share your room with the white ants.its a run down wreck, the most disappointing place i have ever been.
truly fraudulent from photos to actual place. i was ripped off

4/10 Poor
Anthony, Short walk to Ayala, 7 eleven and a couple of bank
Wardrobes where the wood is peeling, exposed nails and broken wood round the pool, taps in the room that do not work, plugs that get stuck and are fixed with a wire, exposed pipework in the rooms, non sealed tiles in the pool that you could cut your feet on, mold smell in the bathroom, a constant stream of ant attacks, no shower gel...! Who on earth is rating this place so highly!! My doors needed to be fixed when I was out and I came back to find tools lying around and my door unlocked with no-one to be seen!
This resort is quiet and relaxing - exactly what I was looking for. The staff are excellent, and the food in the restaurant is really nice. The beach is white sands and mainly quiet, there is a bit of rubbish but no amount that is that unusual.
However there has not been any upgrades to the room or pool probably since it was opened. I tried to check out a day after arriving but the owner would not refund me the cost. The photos on Hotels.com were probably taken when it opened and they should look into this.
The reason I wanted to check out was because the resort is extremely over priced. Compare the rooms to other hotels/resorts of similar price and the other rooms and facilities are a massive upgrade. The owner needs to spend his money on maintenance.
I complained to management but their hands were tied.
The actual resort itself is quite nice as the photos show.
Although the photos look amazing online, the hotel is really photogenic.
However, aspiring guests should note that:
1. This hotel is remote and far from establishments and restaurants.
2. Each trip going to Alona Beach is 400 pesos (~$8) via rented van or 200 pesos (-$4) via tricycle (not recommended at night).
3. The way on the way there goes through a rough road.
4. The private beach, which is next to a public beach, is very polluted.
5. There is no proper reception, hotel service, and transportation. The hotel room itself has signs of aging and deterioration.
My family and I stayed for 3 nights and we got really bored because of the isolation. I would not recommend this hotel, unless to those who are looking for complete silence and do not mind the absence of hotel amenities.
I’ve booked Hotel Ananyana Resort and Spa for 3 nights for a trip with my daughter in the end of March. I was comparing with other hotels and although price was higher (approx USD 182/tax included) I was very well impressed by their photos on hotels.com and I’ve decided to book.
Unfortunately we were very disappointed...photos are misleading. Price was already high and there was no breakfast included. There is no reception and after 10pm (when restaurant is closed) you feel like you are abandoned there. No one to supervise the rooms and since we were one of the few guests there, it was quite an uncomfortable feeling in the evening/night there. The hotel is far from the centre so there is not much around the area which made it even more secluded. The staff and manager Ruella were really nice and that made our stay better, but I could not wait to leave to the next destination so I could feel safer. Ananyana Hotel should not be advertising as a "Resort and Spa" because they are not...or maybe they were in the past.

Don’t waste time here !
Rip off, clearly not worse it ! Beach is not maintained, resort is not maintained, rooms are ok inside bit very dark, wish i could put a pics of their pan con tomate for you to have an idea ! And not mentionning that anyway only 25% of the menu is available. Don’t waste your time and money there, much better places are around the corner ! Would pay 40 / 50 box for it, don’t deserve more.

They could improve the lighting inside the room & put a shower curtain in the shower area so the rest of the area around do not get too wet.
The resort property was nice and staff very friendly and helpful.
The beach wasnt clean and much seaweed and garbage had washed ashore. After prompting staff a crew was assigned to clean but after 6 days still wasnt totalky ckeaned . The beach would have been beautiful if cleaned.
Also no wifi in rooms no tvs in room. When typhoon came and confined to rooms there was nothing to do.
Watersports on property limited.
Price was expensive for what offered. Food was good but expensive. Only slightly less than very nice resort next door.
Ananyana Resort is a great place if you want to relax and escape the busy life. The place is so quiet and you can hear and feel the breeze of the air. My 8-month old son had a good afternoon nap as we had him sleep in his stroller facing the beach as he feels the wind embracing him all throughout his sleep.
It's a small resort compared to the other resorts in Panglao but it's well-maintained. The furniture go well together. I love how they place their chairs in the whole resort where you can lounge.
The staff is very accommodating. They were very attentive to our needs and they gladly set-up a dining table for us whenever we request for a set-up near the beach. What's great about dining in Ananyana is the food. I love how the present it and it tastes really good.
I dont usually write a review but because my family really had a great time in Ananyana, I feel that the need to know how lovely the place is. It's just far from Alona but if you're looking for some relaxation, you really dont need to go out. Will definitely go back to Ananyana on our next visit to Bohol.
I was able to book at Ananyana and stayed there for a very privet 5 day stay. The hotel staff took good care for us arranging transportation to Aluna beach and to town. The meals we ate at the hotel were prepaired by cooks and were very nice. We had a nice stay.
Absolutely great resort with a very dedicated staff. Very serene location and the resort was very well maintained. It is not a noisy place like many of the bigger resorts. The chefs did everything possible to accommodate special requests for vegetarian meals. They helped with the reservations for scuba diving or sightseeing. If you are planning to go there to unwind and destress this is the place. Unlike Alona beach the Doljo beach is not noisy and busy. You can get a 10 min car ride to Alona beach in case you care to visit the seaside bars and restaurants. The lawns and pool are very well kept and the atmosphere is very exclusive and calming. Would go there again for sure. Panglao island is very beautiful and a hidden gem. Diving at Balicasag island is spectacular.
