This is one of my favorite places to stay so far. I like to stay in the Cabanas because it opens up to the beautiful pool, bar, and dining areas. Its great to stay in the cabanas if you have kids so you can have direct access to the pool. I've stayed in the large 5 star hotels but prefer the more intimate setting at the Hotel El Panama. The free breakfast is subpar but the hotel is located in walking distance of good eateries!

We stayed there around Valentines Day and they had the hotel beautifully decorated for the event. Room and bathroom were large and very nice. Breakfast however could be improved with more variety. Good location and staff very helpful and pleasant . Definitely recommend

Property is pretty dated. Staff comes across as though they do not care about your questions or requests and just want to brush you off to get you to go away. Restaurant is not bad but nothing special although it is priced similarly to better restaurants.

Some issues but overall a great stay.

I had a great stay as usual, but one two things bothered me. The first was the condition and cleanliness of the bathroom. It was simply not up to the standards I have experienced at this hotel in the past. The second thing was strange - the outlets by the bed were tied into the lights over the beds. As such I could not plug in my CPAP breathing device without leaving the lights on. I had to ask for an extension cord to use the machine. This is something that needs to be addressed in room 623 and wherever else it occurs. The outlets should not be tied into the lights.

The pool needs to be cleaned better. The edges around the bar area were terribly dirty. Its a big pool but it is the main feature for our stays and our recommendations. The poolside cabin was nice but stuffy like it had not been opened up for a long time. Excellent breakfast buffet and fantastic staff

Great Stay

There was no bottled water in the room - it always was on previous trips. Also, there was only one Nespresso Pod in the room and no creamer. There was no washcloth and only one hand towel. Everything else was great. Breakfast was excellent.

Great location, beautiful hotel and pool

Our stay was nice. We added two days to the beginning of our reservation due to changed plans. The first room hotel put us in was a modernized remodeled cabana pool room. Unfortunately as nice as room was there was a glass shower and toilet area w no privacy glass, so completely viewable from room. This didn’t work for our family. So I requested another room. All they had left in cabana pool rooms were the non remodeled rooms w no modernization. But had private bathroom. We decided to downgrade and move to 2 nd room option. The room smelled musty and was outdated but served its purpose. Beds were nice, right on pool deck and near breakfast buffet.
