This is an "adult property", not a proper place to stay unless one is looking for a discrete place to have sex. I feel I was bamboozled into making this reservation and I doubt I will ever see my money back. For the record, it is a very long distance from the center of Ouro Preto.

Not appropriate for a typical stay in Ouro Preto

The Le Ville is a motel, not a hotel. It is situated 6 km outside of town near a busy highway intersection, so it is not appropriate for the typical tourist who wants to stay in town and walk around (most hotels are right in town). Like many motels in Brazil, it is more geared to 'discreet encounters' than to tourists: there is a private entry system that buzzes you in to the facility (there is no reception) and the room has a clear 'adult' theme. When we arrived we immediately saw that this was not the hotel we wanted and we quickly booked another hotel through expedia (the Hotel Solar de Maria, which was great) and left. But to the Le Ville's credit, they accepted our late cancellation and Expedia refunded us in full.

Outside the City but Brand New and Spotless

This is a typical "Adults Only" hotel where discretion is paramount. You never see the staff but can interact with them via speaker and telephone. You are buzzed in via an electronic gate and park in your assigned garage. You room key is delivered along with anything else you want via a "box" that has 2 doors. This is where your food is delivered as well. An announcement is made on the speaker system in your room when there is something in the "box". The hotel is brand new and has a commanding view of the surrounding hills outside Ouro Preto. A car would be required to get to the city though a taxi could be arranged by telephone. Spacious room, refrigerator, air conditioning, heat (it gets cold at night). The breakfast was excellent with fresh squeezed orange juice along with ham/cheese toasted bread. Fresh fruit as well. The only down I would give would be the limited number of channels on the television. All Portuguese language. If you want a reasonable priced hotel, large clean rooms, and discretion, this is your hotel.

Deveria ser apenas MOTEL, zero pra hospedagem

O quarto é ótimo, o atendimento então nem se fala, refeições ótimas, MASSSSS ótimo como motel, hotel PÉSSIMO, zero privacidade… a noite é tanto barulho que é impossível dormir. Barulho de portão, de gente conversando, de chuveiro ligando e descarga sem parar.

O quarto era confortável, entretanto, o banheiro estava com cheiro de mofo, provavelmente pela falta de ventilação (ele não tinha janela). O assento do vaso sanitário parecia embolorado e as toalhas também estavam com um cheiro de que tomaram chuva e secaram à sombra. Apesar disso, fiquei bastante surpresa com a qualidade da pizza que pedimos! Estava deliciosa! Por fim, me incomodou um pouco o sistema de checkout no quarto: foi demorado e acabei me atrasando.
