We were plesently surprised to find a well maintained and cute property after a long drive through the Karoo desert. This property is conveniently located just outside of Oudtshoorn (Austreech capital of South Africa) and offers nice hospitality to its guests.

Beautiful location with Mountain View’s. Close to Ostrich farms, and the Meerkats excursion was amazing. The breakfast was huge and included. We ate dinner at their restaurant and enjoyed Ostrich steak. The farm is relaxing. We visited town but nothing was open late on a Sunday. If I were to go again I would skip town and enjoy the serenity of the guest house grounds.

De Zeekoe Guest Farm is an exquisitely beautiful Klein-Karoo farm with magnificent views of the mountains. It has a very tranquil atmosphere and if it gets too hot there is a swimming pool to lounge in. Kristy and her staff are very friendly, warm and hospitable. My husband got COVID and Kristy offered us a free stay so that he could isolate in one place. We will for sure visit De Zeekoe again and we are also looking forward to explore their game lodge: Wildehond Game Reserve. I highly recommend to stay there if you are looking for accomodation in the Klein Karoo.

Great Spot

We had a beautiful one-night stay here: rooms were large, clean and with lovely porches (loved the chair swing). The food was great and the service friendly. We had a blast on the meerkat adventure as well - highly recommend!

Our room was lovely, nice balcony and bath I found it to be a good overall value. Found dinner and breakfast to be good. Loved the meerkat experience. The property is a great place to relax and there is much to do in the area.

Nice place to stay near Oudtshoorn

We stayed in one of the less-expensive cabins on the lake. For the price, it was fine. The cabins are about a mile away from the main lodging area, on a dirt road that is quite bumpy. The cabin was cold in mid-September; they must be freezing in earlier months. The cabins are clean, have two bedrooms, a nice patio, great wifi in the cabins! Breakfast was nothing special. Not a bad base to visit the area.

Very nice overnight stay in Outdshoorn. Hotel is in a great location for visiting the Safari Ostrich Farm and Cango Wildlife Park. Had a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Good family stop in Oudtshoorn ZA

My wife and I stayed for one night in the self service cabins. The cabins are located up a dirt road not far from the main lodge and restaurant. The cabins would be perfect for families looking to cook their own food. The cabin can handle 4 people, maybe more. They have a nice view of the lake. They are rustic but in good shape with comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. The restaurant was ideal. It served a really good breakfast and we had dinner there also. I tried the grilled ostrich and it was better than I would have expected. Their wine list was very good and the views from the dining area were very nice. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We would stay there again. Be sure to take the Meerkat tour. You have to get up early however it is very interesting.

Fantastic service, lovely room

Reception greeting and service was phenomenally cheering, went to great lengths to help me with my plans for the following day. Bed was luxurious, the farm very peaceful. I was warned that water pressure would be low, but I experienced no problems. Only thing lacking was Internet access in the rooms (Wi-Fi is limited to reception area).
