The room was dirty when we arrived, toilets used, no towels. No answer from phoning front desk, a recurring problem through the week if we needed something. Pool towels must be reused by guests for the whole stay. It’s gross. You have to wash them yourself or specifically ask for a swap, otherwise people are bringing their same dirty towel back to those chairs day after day. Ick. But The Grove is like that -policies are not so much about making the place work as about squeezing its inhabitants for fees, deferring maintenance, and decreasing costs even for basics. It was a dirty place, with unhappy staff who seemed overwhelmed, and policies that annoyed us and got in the way of our fun on vacation. Don’t go here.

When we arrived the room was dirty, toilets used, and had no towels. I called the desk for help but no one answered, a recurring problem. I had to flag down security for help, and housekeeping eventually cleaned the room for us while we sat there. At The Grove, guests are suspect: signs in the rooms warn not to steal the awful, threadbare pool towels. Signs at the pool warn that lost room keys incur a charge: but are provided to guests on a weird knitted wristband that must be cut off to be removed, and which often failed to unlock my door anyway. If the signage doesn’t make you feel uninvited, the annoying policies will. Last: as I worked through checkin and getting help with the problems we encountered, I spoke with annoyed people who seemed stretched thin. We won’t ever be back and couldn’t recommend The Grove under any circumstances.

This is a beautiful resort and very family friendly. The team and amenities are excellent. Sadly the first room we checked into was infested by cockroaches which was horrific as we have young children.

Everything was great, check-in was super friendly staff, amenities were wonderful. We took advantage of pools and water park even with it being cold out ;) thankful some of the pools were warm. Wish they could've been a bit warmer but still tolerable. Room was very clean which we appreciated and very spacious. Getting to car from room was so convenient as well. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time, but given the price we paid, we expected the property to be in better condition. We stayed in a nice 3-bedroom, 3-bath condo, but the hallway had panels falling from the ceiling, and the elevator felt quite old and a bit unsettling. Additionally, there were missing tiles on the floor that were just left lying around in the hallway.

Overall the property is beautiful, staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit disappointing. The keurig didn’t work, there were brown stains on the sheets. No privacy door sign and had to call to request rags. Tried to go for a boat ride and was denied twice. Steve said they were too short staffed to accommodate my family both times, meanwhile he was fishing with a guest. Overall I’d give it 6.5/10 because there are still lots of amenities and things to do.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the property itself is poorly maintained. The bathrooms were not clean, the towels were stained, and there was no housekeeping service during our stay. It felt more like a neglected Airbnb than a hotel. Several fixtures did not work properly, and the shower was very outdated. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a kitchen and laundry, and the rooms were quite spacious, which was a plus. However, due to the cleanliness and maintenance issues, I would not choose to stay here again.

The property was beautiful however the linen was dirty it had blood on it and the staff took forever to change the sheets. Otherwise, the property was amazing.
