Avoid Nova Vacation Rentals on VRBO!!

Firstly, very disappointed in VRBO for false advertising and not disclosing that properties can be owned by rental companies as well as private owners on their site. Had we known, I would have vetted the property more thoroughly. Secondly, the house appears nice from the outside and the decor is as the pictures represent. However, we found out after checking in that the pool (with the stagnant water and scummy spa) was due to a broken pool filter that wasn’t going to be replaced during our 10 DAY stay!!! I repeated asked to pay for pool heat prior to arrival and the rental company could have told us at that time that the pool wasn’t usable and yet they chose NOT to inform us of this situation. 4 days into the stay and many text messages and phone calls later, our family came to the conclusion that the pool WOULD NOT be fixed. Additionally, the sliding doors didn’t open or close without coming off the track, the microwave buttons were so worn out that they didn’t work, the refrigerator/freezer leaked and the water/ice dispenser did not work. The pool alarm did not work (a legal violation in FL). ALL of these issues were told to the rental company,

Stay away and run. / House of Broken Dreams

My family stayed 6 nights and we called every day with issues. Issues reported that were never fixed. Sliding doors were broke and/or off the tracks. This is safety/hazard issue. The teenagers could not open or shut the sliding doors to the pool area. The spa and pool light still does not work. There is a temporary patch on the screen in the pool area. The fridge does not work properly. It freezes beverages and leaks water under it. Other issues with our 2024 stay: Plastic shower curtain ripped off hooks. Not able to use the shower. Porch light does not work. Kitchen floor dirty upon check-in. Not enough towels for each guest. We went to target to buy more towels (they are grey in color) for the house and left them there for future guests. Hopefully there are no more guests at this house. Pool heat issues. First few days we had no heat. But was told we had heat. After they turned it on the pool got up to 107 degrees. Spa 110 degrees. Kids got burnt when they jumped in. We had spiders & cockroaches. Had to take my daughter to the doctor because she was bite by them. Please do not rent. We wasted tons of money. They do not follow-up with you. I wish I could attach my pictures for you to see. I called the management group again a couple days after we checked out. I had to leave a message. Still no return phone call from Nova Vacations. Hopefully we get our pool heat refunded. Even if you are reading this years down the road, run and don't look back.

Winsor hills property

Property was beautiful. Refrigerator was not working properly. Froze all our groceries. Lowered all settings and continued to freeze everything. Kitchen was useless to us. Reported to property manager but no one addressed. Previous renters put dirty dishes back in the cupboards which were left there. Disappointing stay.

Rental House of Horror and Broken Dreams

Let me start by saying we are a simple, hardworking, easy to please family. My husband works hard to take us to central Florida once a year every summer. We have appropriately nicknamed this house as the "rental house of horrors and broken dreams." The house itself is beautiful and has incredible potential to be an amazing rental property but it's very poorly managed by the property management company. A lot of the issues in the previous 1 star review by another renter were still present when we arrived. Even after I emailed the host days before our arrival to express my concerns and I was assured everything had been fixed. Lies! We arrived and were greeted by a huge pile of garbage sitting in the front lawn covered by vultures. Upon entrance the house appeared clean until you started really looking around. Fingerprints on mirrors, crud smeared on kitchen counters, some kind of gooey stuff dripping off the kids bunk beds with hair and fingernails in it, and my kids feet were BLACK from the filth and pizza sauce all over the gameroom floor. Then as we proceeded to check out the backporch and pool we discovered we couldn't even open the sliding door as it was broke off the tracks. The screen porch had a HUGE section of screen missing. The pool and surrounding area was full of balloons, confetti, clumps of floating hair, dead bugs, frogs, and green algae. We also didn't have the grill we requested. The AC was leaking also but thankfully was working. We immediately began contacting the host via VRBO. They sent out a housekeeper to clean the problem areas, a maintenance man to fix the door on day 1. They didn't fix the porch screen until day 3 of our trip, so we dealt with bugs and squirrels for days. They claim the request for the grill never went through and instead of assisting us they put it on my husband to secure his own grill. My husband made MULTIPLE requests for the pool to be cleaned and no one was ever sent. By day 5 we had cleaned all the balloons, dead frogs, and clumps of hair out ourselves but the pool was so green I didn't feel it was even safe any longer and begged them to clean it. A technician was sent out that day who only treated the pool and never cleaned it. The spa NEVER cleared up (it stayed a dark green from algea) and the green in the pool only cleared up for a day before turning green again. The spa light also didn't work.

Buyer Beware - STAY Away from this house!!!!

Massive disappointment/rip off. Useless property manager. 1. Check-in - pool dirty, no skimmer like ALL other houses. 2. Pool table in ad - yea 2 broken pool cues/sticks - so useless. 3. Footsball table in ad - yea 4 broken balls - so useless. 4. First night sheets on beds were actually soaken wet. So washed but not dried before bed made????? 5. BOTH sliding glass doors to pool area broken, handles falling off. Rails bent, door off tracks/rails. Kids/women couldn't even open. 6. Broken patio tiles around pool/jacuzzi. Actually cut a kids foot from walking on them!!!!!!!!!!!! 6. Ad says 100's of digital TV channels - total lies. Cable fiber TV service does not work. Goes to blank guide and never any channels. Only NETFLIX worked on living room TV, nothing on bedrooms. 7. Notified VRBO and management contact first night - no response because late Sunday check-in. Monday got responses. Local property manager asked about upstairs AC not working???? I never mentioned AC, about only thing that felt like it actually was ok. House was at 74. Advised them of ALL other problems via text Monday AM. Absolutely ZERO response...nothing/nada/no action. USELESS. An AC repairman showed up at 6:30PM Monday night. Said upstairs AC was fine but downstairs was frozen. SO they stayed working on it until 10pm!!!! Our first night on vacation and I spent it baby sitting the AC guy for problem I didn't mentioned?????? So recommend EVERYONE stay away from this house and management company or you will regret it and suffer during your vacation.

March 10th 2022 Stay

Everything was great. House was exactly as shown and the game room was very entertaining for the kids. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that we paid to have the pool and hot tub heated and when we checked in at 4:00 pm, there was no heat and the hot tub was not even filled. I called and they came the next day to fix it. Overall Great Experience..

Windsor Hills was fantastic, the property and house were beautiful. We ran into a handful of issues but communication and repair was quick. Kids rooms were fun !
