8/10 Bueno

Gorgeous view with some caveats
The good:
- The view from the 22nd floor is amazing. There are two doors to access the balcony (both with screens) - one from the master that you can leave open at night and hear the ocean waves. Glorious.
- Bed is comfortable.
- The condo is in pretty good condition overall and well kept. Nice TVs in the rooms (though there was no HDMI cable for the DVD so I swapped out the cable box’s to use it)
- Really good seafood/other restaurants to choose from all around.
- Great ice cream shops too - especially the raw cookie dough one!
- Seemed like a lot of water activities all around. I mostly wanted to just hang out at the beach and read but I did do one excursion - Sail Alyosha - a sunset cruise out into the Atlantic and back. Highly recommended.
The not-so-good:
- The elevators. There are 4 servicing the entire complex - and one was out all week. One day coming back from the pool I waited 1/2 hour for an elevator (tip: when coming back from the pool/beach, don’t try to get on an elevator at floor 1. Go down a floor to the lobby because the car will usually be full coming up, ESPECIALLY on Saturday when most people are arriving and have big bins to carry their stuff in - so there’s no room to pick up more people on floor 1)
- Communication - I sent a query through VRBO asking about a possible adjustment to my stay - no response ever. Also, they won’t send you any details about your trip until the morning of which was a little unsettling (especially after reading some reviews about Vacasa). So definitely call them with any questions instead of relying on the message feature.
- The checkin process is strange - you go to a box in front of the unit with a simple code that every other renter has and your parking pass is in an envelope with your name on it. Don’t even try to check in early. Your pass will not be there until 4. Believe me. I tried.
- The beach was super crowded. And what ticked me off is that a lot of people go set up their chairs and spots early and don’t even show up til like 11. Seems unfair to those of us who actually arrive early to sit out.
- The boardwalk is also super crowded and, for shopping, it’s full of stores mostly selling the same touristy stuff.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay, just not sure if I’d return to this property/area.
