Amazing lovely old building! Nice rooms, bit of street noise early morning but hey the windows are thin and not double glazed. Nice bar, wanted to check out the other bar out the back too but it closed early.

Fantastic location, right in central spot. All the staff from reception to cafe & restaurant to housekeeping were so friendly & helpful. Hotel is lovely, some people might think old, which it is, but thats what we liked about it. Lovely Victoria building. Rooms have be renovated, beds were so comfortable and larger than modern hotels.Bathroom is small but again renovated and shower is so roomy and great water pressure. Wish we had have stayed longer. 2 nights not enough in this lovely hotel & town.

This hotel promises more than it delivers. The older part of the facility is elegant and potentially charming, but has threadbare carpets and would benefit from a shift in attitude from some staff to become genuinely customer focused. The newer (1960s) part at the back is really pretty basic despite some recent refurbishment - all satisfactory but very basic, and because of this, it is overpriced.

Old world charm. Booked a suite. Highly Recommended for extra space. And they gave me the room with a view to the sea. Fabulous hospitality in the restaurant.. great plus. Overall better than expected. And the town is a plus re old world buildings.

Property is dated but it matches the old building you are staying in. Bathroom was renovated with great water pressure but shower head is low down the wall. Bed was not very comfortable and could do with new mattresses with better back support. Parking out back is convenient and easily accessible from rooms

An historic hotel, well maintained with spacious rooms. The location is excellent on the Main Street (which is very quiet at night) and within walking distance of all the main attractions (galleries, steampunk, cafes etc). Breakfast was very good and the staff both friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this hotel.
