House interior set up was great. Adequately clean. The exterior of the house was not well maintained. The deck was a disappointment for lack of space and furniture was dirty and uninviting. Rusty nails poked up from the deck floor! Very awkward set up with the entrance. Coming up from the beach, the front entrance was the only way to enter if the house was locked. Hard to come up from the beach. There was space between the back door and the door jam so bugs came in. There was a constant flow of flies in the house. Cockroaches made it difficult to sit out at night on the uninviting deck. We heard noises in the wall. Perhaps a rodent scurrying in the wall. Master bed shower was shoddy. Beach was beautiful.

Had a great trip

The location to the beach was perfect for my parents first time ever seeing the ocean. The house had everything you would need for your stay. The house itself was good. A couple of problems caused by previous group that stayed before us. The bathtub faucet was broken and the cover over the light in the kitchen was broken and fell off one evening. But we made due with the one very small shower in the other bathroom so no major problems really. Just a little inconvenient. Would definitely tell my friends about this place..

Nice oceanfront house.

We enjoyed the place and its location. Very nice porch overlooking the ocean. Clean and renovated house. A few suggestions/criticism: a) the wifi account name and password are presented together but inaccurately. We had to match the account from one place with the wifi in another place. b) we could not get the TV to work in the living room. It needs more/clearer instructions. c) you need your own soap and kitchen necessities (oil, spices, etc)

Great Spot

The location is unbeatable. It is very near to the pier and the view is perfect! There was a little miscommunication about the trash. When we arrived it was overflowing. And then I made a mistake and did not read close enough that I was supposed to put it out on Tuesday night. No big deal and partially my fault. Overall perfect place for our family of 5!

Great location, house needs help

Instead of some lengthy babble about our entire stay, I’m just going to create a pro/con list for this property. Pros: Proximity to beach was excellent Cons: House sways & moves in the wind. Yes, you read that right, when someone in another room walks it causes the whole house to shimmy. If you’re laying in any bed you are being shaken as if you are on a cruise ship bed due to the wind moving the house constantly. Everyone in our party noticed it immediately. I can only assume there are some structural issues as we have stayed in many oceanfront homes & never experienced anything like that. -The steps on the rear deck leading to the beach are very splintered & shaky. Some pieces are about to come off completely. You had to walk gingerly to keep from flipping up loose boards. -The on-suite shower in the master Is barely big enough to fit in it. It is better suited for a kid than an adult. -The entry staircase had spindles on the ground when we arrived & we later found another broken piece barely hanging on that had been blowing against the house in the wind making a loud noise. -The permanent neighbor next door to this home as a barking dog that yapped from the time we arrived until we left. Sitting on the deck to enjoy the view wasn’t an option as the dog spent a majority of the day on their deck. Our oceanfront view could only be admired from inside due to that. Each time we walked to the beach we had the pleasure of hearing the barking & he could still be heard from the beach. I’m not sure if we were the first family to stay here post Covid19, but I got the vibe that a once around check of the property had not been done to catch deck board issues, the wood laying on the ground, loose bedroom door handles, loose towel holders & toilet paper dispensers. Overall, you couldn’t beat the logistics of this home’s location to the beach & surrounding amenities. Unfortunately, those are the only bright spots I can associate with this property.

Wonderful Life

We spent the Christmas at the Mischievous Turtle and it was a real pleasure. We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the pier. Spent countless hours either on the sand on on the deck just looking at the ocean. Saw some dolphins playing around and hunting for fish one of the days. Two of them even jumped out of the water for us but unfortunately I already put away my camera. We could observe both sunrises and sunsets. Although the sunrise is slightly obstructed by the pier so if you want to see it you have to go to the other side of the pier which is just a couple minutes walk on the beach. The sunsets you can watch right from the deck. Anyway, it was a great stay and we would recommend it.
