Nice room, hard bed and mediocre breakfast

The room was nice and we were looking forward to a good nights rest after a long drive however there were a few small dents around the room, stains on the bathroom floor the bed was rock hard, my partner and I struggled to fall asleep not only from the bed but from the light from the corridor glaring into the room from under the door we had to place a towel across to block it out. The included breakfast the next morning was underwhelming, cold and rubbery (we went down at 8:45am) very little options beside a fry up, three fruit, some yoghurt and dried toppings- if your veggie then you have eggs and one type of sausage as an option, the dinning experience felt very lacklustre. Checkout was 10:30 on a Sunday felt a little to early which after the terrible night sleep we had with the bad bed we both wanted to sleep a little more before a busy day ahead. Both worried about driving back due to how tiered we both feel, would hope for the price we paid for the second highest room to have a comfy bed and maybe a decent breakfast. The grounds and staff are lovely though and they made our stay memorable

Difficult to find the "right" reception. Picture of the hotel is a bit deceiving as we were offered a room in the annex(ex olympic accomodation). This was not clear in the advert. Room was clean, but internet did not work.

Stunning surroundings, nice room with views. The let down was the restaurant ordered 18:30 had mains 22:00 and food was awful, four full tables and everyone was saying how bad the food was, only when seated got asked what drinks we would like and not asked again. Such ashame ruined our time there.

Great spot for an overnight break

A little confusing upon arrival, but we were late getting there and reception was closed. All sorted within a few minutes and we were shown to our “Dormitory”…. Unfortunately all the rooms in the main building were full. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. In the morning, it was a real treat to see the beautiful grounds & next time we visit we’ll allow more time to explore. Electric car chargers supplied by PodPoint… not sure on the rate. Finally, if you leave hungry after the breakfast then you haven’t tried!

Not what we booked spoiled it really

Stay was ok for one of us and worse than a travel lodge for the other. Booked 2 double business rooms but what we got was a room in the basement very small and low end and the other room was similar to what I thought I booked but 2 single beds rather than a large double. If I had got what I had booked it probably would have been good.

It was really difficult to find where we were supposed to go on the campus of buildings. Ended up driving up and down for ages trying to find where to go as there were no signs to the hotel. Couldn't connect to the WiFi on our android phones as the security certificate was out of date but the staff were great and connected us to a different WiFi network. Room was really modern and clean and breakfast was good
