The hotel is badly managed. We experienced neglectful housekeeping, rooms in need of renovating, lack of amenities. If a hotel doesn't offer room service there should at least be a coffeemaker in the room. We were booked for three nights and happy to leave.

The air conditioning wasn’t working as well as expected had to get a fan sent to the room. However a technician came to room, and that helped for about two hours! It was awful. We love staying at the Hyatt, but will be looking elsewhere. So disappointed!

We arrived at the hotel at 12 PM and were told our room would be ready by 4 PM at the latest, but that it might be available earlier. We waited and waited, and only after asking at 5:30 PM, “When will you give us the room?” did they hand over the keys—while sarcastically laughing and saying, “Or will you go to another hotel?” This is unacceptable. If we were even 10 minutes late for check-out, they would charge us extra. When we finally entered the room, the shower was broken. We called, and someone came to fix it. On top of that, the room was unfortunately dirty. During our 3-night stay, housekeeping only came once, and even then they left without replacing the towels. When we requested towels, they sent shampoo instead. There’s also a market downstairs, and we were told we have a $15 daily credit—but with water priced at $5.50 a bottle, it hardly covers anything. The staff, unfortunately, were shockingly rude and dismissive. Even when making polite requests, they responded with strange, unprofessional remarks and treated guests poorly. I would never stay at this hotel again solely because of the staff’s behavior. I do not recommend it. This is not a cheap hotel, and there are far better options for much less money.

This hotel was very subpar and disappointing for the price. The lobby looks way better than the rooms which is sad because guests stay in their rooms not the lobby. I had no toiletries in my bathroom. The iron was broken. There was no access to a microwave in the entire hotel which was ludicrous. When I complained, the staff and the manager was very rude and not accommodating

Check in was horrible. The man checking us in did not say one word to us. Except to ask for our credit card. Didn’t tell us we needed to scan our card to get the elevator. Didn’t tell us where the elevators were. Didn’t say a word except I need your credit card. Not one other person that worked for the hotel acknowledged us. Maybe that’s just them being New Yorkers I’m from the West Coast and we say good morning and hello to everybody we meet.

It was our fourth time at this hotel and we cant think if staying anywhere but at the Hyatt Grand Central! The location is prime and the fact that its attached to Grand Central makes it the most convenient! Our room was comfortable and the guest services and house keeping were great! The BEST!
