True gem of a hotel! We stayed over for the New Year and it was fantastic. It was fair Holiday pricing at a safe/clean place. The hotel is not a huge establishment with a few rooms on about 8 floors and is ran efficiently. The hotel is not too far from local transportation (easy access to the LIRR, Manhattan, LaGuardia airport). Upon arrival the staff guided us to the discounted parking garage and took our luggage to safely store until we could return. The rooms were a fair size for NYC standards, spotless, and included a fridge and microwave. The water was hot and plentiful. Morning breakfast was not just your typical breakfast - they had porridge, fruit, toast and steam buns as well as a few other options. They also offered coffee and orange juice. Those steam buns were the perfect start to our morning. Staff were friendly and warm throughout our stay. On the day we checked out, it was easy peasy. About half an hour later, the staff texted me a picture to let me know I somehow had forgotten something in the room. They then proceeded to call as a follow up. We were past the city tolls and didn’t want to add more time to our already long drive so they offered to ship the item if I could pre-pay the postage. I received my item a few days later. Even before going above and beyond, we truly enjoyed our stay. So helpful, courteous, patient, and thoughtful. Positive experience and wonderful hospitality!
