Great rental and amazing host

Our group of six had a great four night stay! We especially appreciated how Jim, our host, went the extra mile to make sure that we had a great time. The separate game room was highlight that was really unique to this rental. The unit is in a safe location within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Street parking was readily available and Bourbon street was a quick Uber trip away. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others traveling to New Orleans!

Great for Jazzfest

This house is great for certain groups of people. It worked great for us as a group of friends in New Orleans for Jazzfest. The hangout area is in a separate building than the sleeping area which was great when people were going to bed at different times. This was especially important since some of the bedrooms only had a curtain rather than a door. The main living area could have really used a deep cleaning when we were there but I can't complain too much since they allowed us to check in 5 hours early. It feels a little like a basement even though it's not. One bathroom was a little musty but that is not uncommon in New Orleans.The real winner here was the host, Jim. He was super friendly and gave us a bunch of tips on places to go in the neighborhood. He also drove us to the grocery store when we arrived and waited for us while we shopped. The hot tub was broken due to a recent storm so he negotiated free passes to the Country Club next door which is a private pool/restaurant/bar.Overall we had a blast in New Orleans and can't wait to come back.

Awesome host and great location.

Jim was the perfect host, communicative and gracious- the house slept 5 of us beyond comfortably and would have accommodated more. The game room was a nice bonus to be able to have a place to hang and decompress and everything you need to eat, drink and listen to, is in walking distance.

Our family had a wonderful time! We loved the hot tub and games room. Our host was so hospitable and treated us like family. The location was convenient to the French quarter and walks along the river. We really loved the neighborhood. There were so many hidden gems.

Great old house in a lovely neighborhood!

We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back! There was so much to do even in the neighborhood. Short uber rides everywhere and we even walked back easily from Bourbon street/french quarter when we had a meal we needed to walk off! Our sons are under 21, so in the evenings we enjoyed some family time in the room out back playing darts and pool. Jim was so welcoming and showed us how to work everything in the house and gave us suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back! The house had old New Orleans charm and we loved it!

Great place, great neighborhood

States 3 bedrooms but actually 4. Interior older for more authentic New Orleans feel. Pool room/gathering place is in separate building right behind main house/bedrooms which is great if some of the group wanted to congregate while others slept. Markeys and the Country Club only a few steps away. Restaurants featured on food network/Netflix like Fradys, Elizabeths, Pizza Delicious, Bratz Y'all, Satsuma all within a few blocks. Jim was great and very available for any issues

Short Stay

Stayed for 2 days while passing through the area. Check in was easy! Host was outstanding. It was very interesting part of the city that we enjoyed. Host pointed out a couple places to eat and they were a short walk! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice Stay

As others noted Jim is by far the best host we’ve ever experienced. Really nice and responsive person. The house is older as stated but the club house with the pool table and entertainment center, all the outdoor seating areas and hot tub made it a really comfortable property to be at. The beds were VERY comfortable. Some of the best. It also was a quiet property surprisingly (for Nola). Thank you Jim, we really appreciated the hospitality!

Celebrating Family

We came together from the states of Washington, California and Texas to celebrate a birthday and discover New Orleans. Hurricane Francine was arriving also. We greatly appreciated Our host Jim. He kept us updated and informed about the storm and it’s passing before our arrival. The neighborhood did lose power for a few hours but his Generac Unit worked great and thankfully we had full power! Jim was so helpful with answering any questions. The home fit our needs perfectly and comfortable too. We enjoyed the recreation room, pool table and hot tub. The location in the Bywater neighborhood is absolutely beautiful, many places are within walking distance, the Country Club, Marky’s Pub, the Bean Museum, several restaurants, Crescent Park and Frenchman’s street. You will love your stay here.

Great spot

Our group came down for a trip and had an amazing time at this house. The location was great with a coffee shop that was walkable which was very nice in the mornings. The country club next door had great food and was a regular spot for us when we wanted to grab something quick to eat. In 15 minutes you can get to downtown or to Harrahs which was very convenient! The extra room out back was a life saver, we spent almost all of our waking time at the house out there playing pool and games. The hot tub was also used frequently and was very clean. The host was very nice and gave a thorough walkthrough and explained how the different locks and keys worked. I would highly recommend this house and we will be looking to stay here again if we go back to New Orleans!

Simple

I area is everything! Walk to what ever u need. There's plenty of bed space. Practically lived in the rec room. Over all great place to stay . Property owner is very kind even with my hiccups he was understanding. Definitely going back again!

Wonderful stay

We had such an amazing time at the Nola home. Jim was absolutely incredibly attentive and gracious host. He checked in with us before and after landing and took his time walking us through his lovely home. He left local spot recommendation and maps for us to get around town. The home was so charming and has such wonderful character. We really enjoyed the proximity to everything. Definitely would book again when coming into town. Jim you are amazing thanks again

Great NOLA stay here!

We had a fabulous experience staying at Jim’s fun NOLA Place! Jim, the host, goes above and beyond expectations of any host I’ve encountered. The space was perfect for me and my family while staying here during a HOT weekend for a wedding; the rec room is the coolest spot filled with plenty of entertainment for all to enjoy. Ubering was incredibly easy and affordable in this location, and fun walking area to explore with neat bars to explore in the neighborhood! We highly recommend this spot to accommodate all parties needs, we will be back here again for sure.

What a gem!

This was one of my favorite places that I have stayed! The property was fun and accommodating and Jim was amazing and welcoming. He made us feel right at home and was very responsive, not to mention he met us at the property when we arrived to show us around. We also were able to check in upon arrival from the airport and leave our belongings until our flight (which was a 6:30pm flight). Jim made the trip easy and gave us good tips and guidance. We will definitely be booking with Jim again in the future! The property was clean and we had everything we needed and wanted!

Great Stay, Great Location, Amazing Host

The place was awesome, super fun and a great place to hang, especially the game room. The space was perfect for us and no issues with the heat AC was perfect. The location is amazing and super close to everything as well as some fun local spots like the country club. Jim the host was amazing, super helpful, welcoming, and we hit up all his recommended spots. He is a great communicator and helpful for the whole trip! Would go back and recommend it for anyone going to NOLA!

Wonderful stay in a nice neighborhood

Jim is a wonderful host who met us when we first arrived to introduce us to all the features of the unit. He was quick to respond whenever we had any questions and was a joy to communicate with. This place suited our group of five perfectly and had several nice amenities including a great living/recreation large room that is in a separate building from the unit with the bedrooms and kitchen. The hot tub was also a nice feature. We rented bikes and it was easy to get to the French Quarter and anywhere else we wanted to explore. I would definitely stay here again.
