We found this hotel to be dripping with charm! The service was super-friendly & welcoming. Their parking fees are more reasonable than any other hotel in The FQ we have stayed at previously. The bedding, mattress, linens were luxe. The furniture is all gorgeous antique pieces... our bed in Rm 34 was fabulous! We had a 3rd floor, courtyard view, but even better than that, a 3rd floor view of The FQ & CBD & gorgeous sunsets. Our stay was relatively quiet, no rowdy neighbors & surprisingly, no ghost encounters, which we were sort of excited about. I guess we will need to plan to return for ghost encounters. The piano bar is a delightful experience... we had the opportunity to spend a few minutes & a nice cocktail with a pianist & artist belting out some Billy Joel, Elton John, CCR, Crosby Still Nash & Young & Alannis Morrisette & Tori Amos. A wide variety of music & so, so friendly & talented. Kristen was her name, I believe. This historic building is laden with gorgeous architecture, beautiful folk art, nice coffee in the lobby, luxe rugs & furniture. A passcode is required to get in... we felt totally secure & safe. The location is situated on the far east end of Bourbon, just outside the hustle & bustle but directly across the block from the infamous & historical Jean Lafittes Blacksmith Shop (pub). There is plenty of fabulous New Orleans cuisine & necessities within a block's walk of this hotel. Guided ghost tours visit here.
