Beautiful, clean, well located rental needs management improvements
This vacation rental that had much to offer, but my experience was significantly impacted by poor management. The unit itself was excellent—clean, well-equipped, and in a prime location. However, the management left much to be desired.When booking, I was attracted by the option to make changes up to 30 days in advance, for which I paid a significant premium. This option was not available on the exact same listing on another short term rental platform, so I felt secure in my choice at VRBO. Unfortunately, when I tried to make a change, management denied my request, claiming it wasn't available despite the booking terms.Dealing with the rental management firm was frustrating and time-consuming. I had to navigate through various levels of staff just to get a response. To add insult to injury, I discovered that my all-inclusive nightly rate was not consistently honored, with different rates being charged for different nights.When they agreed to cancel one night, the refund offered was only 25% of the agreed upon nightly rate — far far below the all-inclusive nightly rate I paid for each of the four nights. This left me very dissatisfied, as the beautiful rental was overshadowed by the lack of professionalism in handling my booking.While the rental unit itself was fantastic, the management's significantly changed booking details and poor customer service diminished my overall experience. I recommend potential renters consider these management issues before booking.
