I had chose pay at hotel when booking…2 days before check in I was charged for half of my stay…I use a different card at check in time when travelling and that is why I chose pay at hotel.
Upon check in….I was informed that parking was going to be double what I was quoted online and during a phone call to them because it was New Years Eve. The gentleman who started to check me in continually answered the phone and went away from the desk to help the people on phone instead of completing my check in. once we finally parked the car (several blocks away), we get to room. The room had brick walls and had a nice esthetic to it. However the whole room smelled of cigars. Called the desk to ask if it was a smoking room because the smell was horrible. They offered no solution other than no, it is non smoking.
Upon going into the restroom, only a half roll of toilet paper…used the restroom and it would not flush..tried to see what issue was and the tank was empty…had to fill it up with ice bucket and water from tub (which had things coming out of faucet) to get it to flush…worked later and then stopped working. Decided to wait til morning as it was late, to call down to desk again. Bed was comfortable, however you could hear every noise from the hall.
The next morning toilet again did not work and called downstairs. They said nobody is there til 9 to fix it. Once it hit 9, they did come fix it promptly and it worked.
Convenient location but would not stay again.
