I booked this for my sister and mom and myself for Mother's Day weekend. First, I want to say that leaving a bad review is something I would not do unless I felt that it would be dishonest not to, as I understand it may affect the host's income. However, in this case it is warranted. Here are the pros: 1. Proximity to Main Street. It is walking distance to the very few things one might want to see or do in New Iberia. 2. It was mostly clean and reasonably stocked, I guess, although there were certainly no bells and whistles. Check in was easy.The cons: Where do I start? 1. There was no sofa. It was a chintzy futon that was small, hard and it had a bad odor. 2. The only bathroom was located inside the main bedroom which was very inconvenient for a party of 3 women. 3. The hot water only worked twice the whole weekend, so only one of us got a shower, and once managed to wash some dishes. I messaged the host about this and I received no reply. 4.The shower was very tired and needs updating. 5. Most of the house needs updating. 6.There were stained and crumpled paper stick on blinds on the windows. 7. All appliances and fixtures are very low quality. There was literally just enough "cute" decor to be able to misrepresent it in the online ad. 8. The metal bunk bed in the second bedroom is so chintzy and creaky that my sister and I couldn't even use it, as the creaking would wake our mom up, so we had to put one of the mattresses on the floor. I'm out of room...Sadly
