Beautiful, clean house. We were disappointed that we couldn't swim because of the horrible algae. Also, as advertised, there was a ping pong table, but no useable balls with ratty rackets. The dishwasher worked well until the last morning when it wouldn't turn on. We were thinking circuit breaker? Plenty of quality untensils, towels. Such a peaceful, quiet setting!

Sunday, Jul 27 - Friday, Aug 1. The house and the deck were quite lovely, with nice interior decorations. Beach area was fairly rustic. Nice fire ring near the house.The house was lacking beach towels. There weren't any matches, etc. for lighting the fire. The house was advertised as sleeping 12, but there was a lack of silverware for feeding our group of ten. Also, there were only enough bed spaces for sleeping nine. One of the grandchildren had to sleep with his parents.The most serious problem for this house on a lake, was that it was nearly impossible to do any outdoor activities on the property due to swarms of biting black flies. This made the property unusable. It was suggested that we spray with Cutter's, but it was not supplied at the house, and it would have had no effect on the lake. The grandchildren were very disappointed that the paddleboards they brought were unusable due to the flies. For as much as we paid for a lakefront vacation home rental, we were not able to use the lakefront. It was not worth what we paid. We would not consider returning.

Amazing Stay At Lake Petenwell

We had an amazing stay at this one-of-a-kind family beach front home on Lake Petenwell! The location is absolutely beautiful, with direct access to the beach just steps away. The house had tons of space and great amenities, making it perfect for our group. Communication with the owners was seamless—they were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend for families of all ages looking for a peaceful and fun getaway!

Beautiful Home!

House and property are absolutely beautiful! All the rooms are well appointed, spacious, and very clean. Plenty of parking for my son’s wakeboard boat and son in-laws fishing boat. The grandkids loved playing in the basement and on the sandy beach. The large deck and fire pit area provided great family time in the evenings with awesome views of the lake. Ability to bring my dog was so appreciated. Would definitely return to this home!! We loved it!!

Annual Family Trip

This home is absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed the large lot and the privacy. There was plenty of room for our family of 8. The only disappointment was the water. It was full of green algae which looked like paint, so no swimming for us. I have read that this is normal for this time of year. Some dead fish, which made the flies very annoying, but it did not damper our fun! I would recommend this home. We had to call the agency twice and they were quick to respond.

Gem of a Lakehouse

This house is beautiful! Nestled in the woods for just the right amount of sun and shade overlooking the lake! It was so relaxing to hang out on the deck & beach or by the fire pit. We especially appreciated the gate on the deck to keep the littles and the dogs contained. Very spacious rooms for our group of 12.

Fun Lakehouse Getaway

Easy check in process, beautiful home on the lake. Boys enjoyed fishing on the dock, we took our boat out on the lake and swam in the lake. A great experience overall.

Lake House Get Together

Spacious, immaculately clean house on the lake in a quiet, rural setting. Extremely relaxing experience with our immediate family and grandkids and family friends. The house is very well maintained and well appointed. The app description was accurate and, if anything, understated how wonderful this house is. It exceeded our expectations in most every way. We had a wonderful stay hanging out at the beach in front of the house and some others nearby, kayaking, swimming, biking, running, walking, cooking and grilling. We’d love to return next year.

Beautiful Getaway Cottage!

A beautiful getaway cottage with a great view of Lake Pentenwell. One of the few all sandy beach front properties available. Wi-Fi could use improvement, it does not reach too well into the great room. Only Television is streaming, no cable or satellite dish. Overall a beautiful experience, plan to again.

Family fun

The house was modern and clean. Very comfortable. The beach made swimming fun. If you bring a boat be sure to inquire about a lift since boat has to come out of water at night. Great place for whole family

Incredible Cabin!

The pictures don’t the place justice, it is even nicer in person! Loved how close to our own beach area and it was a sandy bottom, no seaweed. Thanks for an incredible place to stay

Beautiful house/ great location

My family and I stayed for a week in this house. It’s beautiful and right on the lake, the location is also perfect. We brought our boat and there is a free launch right in the bay so it was super easy to put it in and out every day. The house is very nice and the property is exactly what we wanted tucked into the woods. We are going to rent this house again next Summer as soon as they allow us to book it. See you next summer

Memorial Day Weekend 2023

Beautiful newly built lake home with plenty of privacy. Stunning view of Big Bay on Petenwell Lake. Our family of twelve thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and recommend to others. Spacious deck and living areas for all to relax. Hope to stay here again!
