This was my first visit to Natchitoches. A friend suggested the hotel. I was impressed from the time I walked in. The staff greeted me first, then the lobby was so spacious. The room was awesome. I bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. The bathroom as well as the room was very clean. Oh, don't let forget about the continental breakfast, great and the staff there was also friendly. I really enjoyed my stay. I will be returning. Great job.

Almost great, but missed on stupid stuff

Staff was helpful, particularly for the area job pool given we know the city. Property on the outside was great, and the rooms were clean. The amenities were super light, and the prices on stuff they did have were rediculous. A single servicing small water was $5.80. I went and bought the same bottle in a 24-pack down the street at a mini-mart for a grand total of $6.99. I am surprised the hotel would do something so stupid, as I put this is my public review and listed as a reason I would consider staying elsewhere. VERY short sided, could be the best hotel in town with just a few more sensible decision on managements part. Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. Wyndam was a hog that day.

We only slept here for the night. The first room we got looked like someone had taken naps on both beds, and the room was HOT! I took a video and showed the front desk staff. She IMMEDIATELY placed us in a better room. One elevator was out. We wake up to go to breakfast and find BOTH elevators were out, so we had to take the stairs. The breakfast was WONDERFUL and the staff was, as well! We got dressed, and elevators still were not working, so we had to carry our luggage down 2 flights of stairs. We got charged $17.95 for a resort fee. I really feel they should have refunded that! At a resort, one should not have to take stairs! I would like to add that we have stayed at this place twice at Thanksgiving and it was wonderful! They either have really declined or really up their game during holidays!

Was told room was not ready. When allowed to go to room it had not been cleaned. Messy bed, dirty towels in bathroom and trash still in cans. Shower not cleaned. Reported to staff and Staff actually had to come and clean and were in room. Floor was still dirty and sticky even after being mopped. Couldn’t walk barefoot. Many broken items in hotel… elevator not working, ice maker leaking and wet towels piled up underneath, wiring exposed from a wall unit — all on same floor!!! This once was and could be again a lovely hotel, it’s just in disrepair and neglect currently. Also when checking out I watched an employee or friend of an employee actually parked their car in loading/unloading zone for 15 minutes, blocking all guests from using the area, to go inside and “visit”. Very unprofessional. An usual number of people consistently hanging out in the lobby all day and night.

My room and my family’s rooms were filthy our entire stay. Sheets were not on the bed and it took 5 hours and we still had to ask the front desk for bedding and put it on ourselves. Very dismissive and bad customer service

Going downhill fast!

We were greeted when we arrived. The young lady at the desk was kind and helpful. Had some confusion at first because our room wasn’t ready upon arrival but the front desk quickly got us into a new room asap. This hotel use to be really great and very clean but has sadly declined in cleanliness in the last couple years. The bar was only open 1 of the 2 nights we were there because staff just didn’t show up. This could be a real beautiful place to stay and the location is within walking distance of downtown but some of the staff either need to be trained much better or let go. No one was ugly or unpleasant but there was a real lack of pride in the work of some of the staff. I do hope they can get things fixed soon. It will be a while before we return.

Great property with very customer friendly employees. Wonderful location in the center of town. Housekeeping, however, is the only reason this is not rated excellent. The rooms are not clean, especially the floors. They are very slippery. The front desk said that was caused by the cleaning solution, but the floors were very dirty. Perhaps that will change.
