Just wanted to share my experience. The hotel and staff are very nice. My room’s wall was very thin. I endured dog barking all night and last night I was awakened to the couple having intercourse. It was absolutely disgusting having to listen to that all night. The walls are so thin it felt like we were all in the same room. I couldn't imagine how bad this situation would have been if I had my children with me. I don't think I'll ever book with Westgate again.

The staff have been great and very friendly, the overall expectations are great with the cleanliness and prompt response of the maintenance fixing something that was no fault of their own - our sinks had some sludge in them when we first got in (this is normal being close to the beach and looked like something came up, but went back down) so I notified them in case it was a serious issue and they promptly sent someone up to check. Jessie was great and informative of the issue - people unfortunately rinse off their sand in the kitchen sinks that eventually backs up their pipes - which is really not their fault, he happily cleaned the sink and sanitized it too..then reassured if it happens again, he will fix it. On another note, Dani is great at the restaurant/bar with her smiles and quick service - go for the tiramisu martini if you are feeling froggy!

This hotel needs to update their pictures because my family and I felt very mislead and it’s also around a rough area. I guess that’s what we get for the price we paid. The night staff is rude. The walls are paper thin and everything feels dirty. I guess I should have read google reviews before I booked this hotel.

The positives: the staff were nice, and check-in was easy. We loved the balcony facing the beach and water. Things to improve: They charge a $150 pet cleaning fee, but do not provide any dog waste stations. They also do not mention that you can use the grass picnic area across from the parking lot for dog relief. That was a little strange. If you are going to charge such a high amount for pets, then have some space/directions for them. Otherwise, people will just let their pet poop in the sand on the beach and leave it. Also room had some dust and baby roaches.
