Skip Myrtle Beach...

Do not be fooled by the photos online, this place is run-down, understaffed, and deceiving. They put photos up of their remodeled units, which are not available to the general public, only the time share owners. They know their hotel is run-down, and can only afford to renovate through selling time shares. They suckered us into watch their time share presentation, which they told us would only be 90 minutes. 2 hours in, told them we had to leave. We did get $225 in vouchers to use at some locations on property (not all). Beds were uncomfortable, sheets rough, floors were disgusting, bathroom disgusting, bangs and bashes all over door frames. Missing and loose tiles throughout the entire property. None of the pools have lifeguards, and water was foggy (means imbalance of chemicals). The lazy river is long, but super narrow, so you can't even fit 2 tubes side by side. beach access was nice, did not have to walk far. Bathrooms for the pool were in a trailer in the parking garage and very smelly. Take-away, skip Myrtle Beach and visit one of the other seaside towns in SC.

We loved that check in was so easy and friendly The view from our 7th floor room was amazing- we were in Tower 1 and it was so convenient to get to every thing The food was pretty reasonable at Loco Gecko and the drinks were yummy from the pool bar We had an amazing 16th Wedding Anniversary stay - definitely coming back

The images from Expedia were not close to the accommodations we had. The room was OK, but based on the pictures and the price, I thought it was going to be a great deal. Turns out, you just get what you pay for. The pool area is very loud due to the location of the pool equipment, and basically glorified porta-potty bathrooms at the pool.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was always nice & helpful. The front desk allowed us 3 parking passes even though their site said we could only have 2. The restraurant food was ok. I never understood housekeeping. If we needed anything, they left it in our room on a cabinet. We asked for clean linens and they gave us enough for 1 bed even though our room had 4 beds. They never came in our room except to drop stuff off. We were there a week. We took out the trash, dirty linens (from 1bed) and dirty towels.

Had some issues with the safe they provided. Someone's reset the safe and took money out my wallet. They didn't have a complaint form to fill out. They said the safe is just like if you have a car in there garage. The resort is not responsible if someone breaks into your vehicle.

The water park was nice and so was the arcade. Great for the kids. Great views. The actual room was not as clean. The room smelled like urine, sheets had stains, lamp covers were filthy.

First time staying here and probably the last. Check in was ridiculous. Check in is not on the property so makes it even more difficult. The place is beat up. Our door isnt securely shut and its literally falling apart. The pool area is ok, but there is no bathrooms other than some outhouse that are absolutely gross or on the second floor. The bar closed an hour after check in. The shower doesnt get hot and the tub wont drain. My kids needed showers but i felt i could not give them one not knowing what was backing up. Definite no for me. We love this area because there is so much to do, but we will not be returning to this hotel in paticular.

This Resort is extremely old!! Renovations are very much needed. The Air Conditioner was profoundly noisy. The Air Conditioning system kept me awake at night. The Air Conditioner also leaked. The Refrigerator was also noisy and old. Both broken appliances kept me up at night. The room was not clean. Housekeeping only replaced towel but did not clean the room. I had to contact the front desk for more toilet paper and towels. The tub had a rip inside the middle. The oven was dirty. I spoke with other guest which also experienced the same issues. PLEASE!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT TO ANYONE ELSE!! PLEASE!!! Thank you

Me and my family had a wonderful getaway. Crown Reef resort is a must if you have kids. The pools/splash pad is worth staying here, your kids will love it. The property is very clean and our room was spotless when we arrived. The only thing I would say that needs improving is the room is always warm. You’ll want to have a fan during your stay. But overall we would definitely stay here again.
