Cozy Cabin

The cabin was perfectly stocked and organized with labels on everything. That is super helpful when it comes to light switches, etc. There is no guessing. The hot tub was clean and HOT. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Our young daughter enjoyed the loft as her hangout space. The owners seemed to think of everything! We even enjoyed lunches outside on the little patio table. We definitely recommend this cabin in Murphy!

Journey

The cabin was great, the driveway up to the cabin was crazy! Need to tell people about how steep it is! It’s advertised as pet friendly but there’s not a lot of grass or walking areas for dogs can get some exercise!

Peace of heaven!

So relaxing and peaceful. Enjoyed the area. Loved the fire pit, fire table on the screened in porch. Also, enjoyed s’mores by the fire. We enjoyed going to places in the area. Would recommend this cabin to friends and family. Would definitely go back myself.

Great place to unwind!!

This home is simply gorgeous and has all the amenities you could ever need for a perfect getaway. The hot tub and screened in porch were used every day! The kitchen is well stocked and I mean WELL stocked. Air fryer, nutrabullet, you name it, they had it. We love to cook and this kitchen was well laid out and made it great fun. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The gas fireplace was warm and inviting. There was a great fire pit outside which we didn’t burn logs but we did hang out there in the afternoons. They also have a gas fire pit on the screened in portion of the porch!! We felt like we were completely alone with our mountain views even though Murphy was only a few minutes away. Hiking the neighborhood was delightfully challenging and we felt like we got a workout just taking the dog for a potty. Wonderful and responsive host and property manager! The hosts have 2 golden retrievers so our pup felt welcome! 10/10 would rent again. We had such a great time!!

A wonderful rainy holiday

This may have been the cleanest property we've ever seen. The layout (with one bedroom upstairs and the second downstairs) was great for privacy, and the screened-in porch was the highlight of our stay. We spent at least half our time sitting out there, tossing balls for our dog, and watching it rain. I was able to get some work completed, and we rested. I'd love to return in the future!

New Years Weekend in Goldens Retreat Cabin

We were very pleased to be in Goldens Retreat Cabin. The Cabin is fantastic!! We spend a lovely time in the cabin for new years weekend. Only recommendation is to illuminate the path way of the road going up to the cabin, is very dark and dangerous.

Well stocked and comfortable.

All around great home. Kitchen well stocked, bedding and beds were very comfortable. Didn't get to enjoy the hot tub or 2 ouside fire pits but they were available. Pet friendly. The driveway leading to the house was a bit of a challenge due to the recent rain. Gorgeous view. House was decorated for Christmas which was an unexpected and nice surprise.

All you need

This cabin has beautiful furnishings, and a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the fireplace on the porch in the evenings. First time going through vrbo and was somewhat dissatisfied.

Lovely week in cozy cabin

We have a lovely time 'away' with close friends. The cabin was immaculately clean and well stocked & prepared. Instructions were clear and not onerous. Internet was fabulous the first few days, then got a bit wonky so don't depend on it for your whole stay - most likely weather related?? Would highly recommend - all the communications & instructions made us feel very welcome.

Our worst Murphy, NC Cabin experience.

Host fees are excessive and abusive. Keyless entry via code that many others have, creating security concerns. The guest contact doesn't answer her phone, has no voicemail set up, and doesn't respond to text messages or emails. Other guests, before and after our stay paid less, and host wouldn't do anything about it. No garbage disposal, firepit propane was empty, WiFi kept constantly going in and out, and constant stalking by host via driveway camera. We performed an impeccable checkout, and 7 hours later host sends rude, verbally abusive, insulting, and inflammatory text message, full of false accusations, because allegedly, her disgruntled guest contact / cleaning lady reported to her that someone in our party had smoked in the guest bathroom. Nobody in our party smokes anything whatsoever. Furthermore, she was hysterical because there were a few dog hairs on blankets and on a comforter, but yet, this is supposed to be a "pet-friendly" property, and a few dog hairs are a reasonable expectation. We treat our four-legged fur babies like if they were our children, and yes, they sleep with us. We have always treated any property that we stayed at as if it were our own, and this one was no exception. Apparently we were not good enough for this owner, and rest assured that we will never set foot on this property ever again. Besides, our four-legged fur babies didn't like the fact that they had to go to the bathroom on gravel.

Beauty and relaxation

Golden's Resort

The views from the house are beautiful. The house is clean and cozy. The hot tub is relaxing. There are plenty of trails and a community pond to catch and release fish. We had a wonderful stay.

Great Cabin and Host

The cabin was new, clean, and in great shape. The location was quiet and had loads of solitude for a peaceful vacation. The host is so helpful and the communication was fast and fantastic. We definitely recommend staying.

Great cabin and location

Our stay was very nice. The cabin was wonderful. Clean, pet friendly, nicely laid out with big wrap around porch, partly enclosed, partly covered, and partly open. Also had gate on one end, so we were able to lick the dog on the porch. The only negative was the poor Wi-Fi connection during the rain. I had to work on Friday and it rained all day. The Wi-Fi was so slow, it took forever to download files and the tv froze often. It was definitely a 5 star place, even with the slow Wi-Fi. Hot tub, fire table outside, board games inside and close to many trails at the end of the street. Hope to come back when it is not the rainy season.

Amazing cabin in the mountains!

My family of 4 loved every minute of our stay in this cabin from the fully equipped kitchen to the comfortable beds. From the hot tub under the stars to the nice roads to walk and the pond nearby. We enjoyed being able to travel 2 hours into Chattanooga TN for a day and then 1 hour to Georgia wildlife park another day. Also there are many awesome hiking trails to take not more than 20 -30 minutes from the cabin which have fabulous views. The owners were welcoming and excellent with communication. The cabin was everything as explained on the website and more beautiful and comfy than the pics. I highly recommend this place for families.

Best cabin so far!

First off, the view is incredible especially from the top floor. Second would be the amenities in the household. Fully stocked kitchen, appliances, board games, etc. We really recommend this cabin. 10/10. We will be back.

Best Cabin Ever!

My husband and I stayed at this cabin for 3 days, and we could have stayed for 3 months! The cabin was in impeccable condition. Everything was new, clean, and organized. You can really tell the quality of the furniture, appliances, and little touches like the nightlights. I especially loved the remote-controlled candles and tree! The housekeeper responded immediately when we had a question about the WiFi, which I really appreciated. We stargazed from the hot tub every night, and we really enjoyed the puzzles and board games provided. It was so easy to get to Murphy nearby as well as some hiking trails. We cannot wait to come back to our new favorite cabin!
