Main Street Room & Board offers simple, comfortable lodging right on Main Street in Mount Vernon. This hotel-style room features two queen beds and a private bathroom, plus access to a shared kitchen. Walk to downtown shops and restaurants, then head out for nearby trails, rivers, and parks—an easy balance of small-town life and time in nature.

Main Street Room & Board offers a simple, comfortable place to land in the heart of downtown Mount Vernon. The room is private and hotel-style, designed for rest and ease whether you’re passing through or staying a few nights.

Each guest room includes two queen beds with fresh linens and a private bathroom with a shower, towels, and basic toiletries. The space is clean and uncluttered, with room to settle in, sleep well, and step back out into town or toward nearby trails and rivers.

Guests also have access to a shared kitchen, available on a first-come basis unless reserved for specific hours. The kitchen includes the essentials for preparing simple meals, along with a washer and dryer for guest use. As a shared space, we ask that everyone clean up after themselves and leave it ready for the next guest.

This is not a luxury stay, but it is a thoughtful one. Clean, quiet, and well located, Main Street Room & Board is a good fit for guests who value simplicity, shared space done well, and the rhythm of small-town life just outside the door.

During your stay, you’ll have private access to your individual room and bathroom, along with shared access to the kitchen.

The front door of the building is secured with a keypad. You’ll receive a unique access code prior to check-in. This same code will grant you entry to the building as well as to your private room for the duration of your stay.

To help ensure a restful stay for everyone, we ask guests to be mindful of the following:

-Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am
-No smoking or vaping inside the building
-No parties or events
-Registered guests only are permitted on the property
-No pets

Parking:
There is ample free street and overnight parking available around the property. Parking is generally easy to find and does not require a permit.

Main Street Room & Board is a shared building. Guests have private rooms and shared access to common spaces, and we appreciate everyone helping keep those spaces clean and respectful.
