First trip to Miramar beach

We had a total of 12 people (10 adults & 2 kids). Location was great. Access to the beach, just a very short walk. Elevator was great for older adults that have problems with steps. We liked it and we will come back.

Great place!

We had a great stay! The house was clean and the location was great. The check-in process was a little confusing, you need the garage code first to then use the access code on the door inside the garage. The information is provided, you just need to know what you’re looking for. The beach access is very convenient, just note that there are 25 stairs to get down to the beach. It wasn’t an issue, just something to know if you have elderly people staying with you. The pool is very nice and perfect for kids. We did not pay to heat it and most evenings it was very warm from the sun. The golf carts were fun and useful. We did run into one issue where the golf cart said it had full battery but died on us. There is some wear and tear in the house. We had 11 adults and 2 kids and didn’t feel cramped. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There were 2 child gates provided. We used them on the main floor so the kids couldn’t go up the stairs or fall down them. The elevator was super convenient especially since there are a lot of stairs between floors. Overall it was great and we would definitely come back!

the house was ok clean for the most parts, some things wheren working properly like the ligths in the patio , and the tvs, the kost annoying thing was the eleveator being closed we wrent abale to use the elevator , we rented this house and ask specifically for the elevator to be working beacuse of tje older people and one with a knee surgery, i call 2 times before our stay and told that the elevator was in working condition and it was noy the foor had srews and theyvwerent new looked like the elevato was out of limits the golf car key was is broken in 2 aand the brakes non working correctly.

Wonderful Property!

This house is absolutely incredible. Most rooms have king size beds, and it made every room feel like you were at a nice hotel. If I had any negative at all, it would simply be that the kitchen isn’t well stocked with dishes but we made it work! We will be booking this property again, and it’s a 10/10!

Good but Could be Better

Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay! Pros: I love love love that each bedroom has a bathroom. Proximity to the beach was fantastic. The home is equipped with an elevator that came in handy for my grandmother. There are master bedrooms on every floor! I made daily use of the large, soaking tub and loved every moment. The golf cart was a pretty nice touch - my parents enjoyed cruising the coast! Cons: This place needs better check-in instructions. The door with a code to enter was inside the garage but we were not given the garage code. Instructions led us to a cable box that didn't exist because property uses YouTube TV. We spent 2 days frustrated before finding that out. Speaking of frustration, we paid over $350 for a heated pool during our 4-day stay. It wasn't until day 3 that we were able to use the pool. No partial refund (or even acknowledgement) was offered. Although we bring or buy our own necessities, this place was not very well stocked. We never did find a broom or mop in the whole house! Also, be aware that parking is limited. A limit of about 4 vehicles should be communicated.

It was a Happy Thanksgiving Trip

We truly enjoyed! This 3 level home was perfect for our family. The kids stayed on 1st floor room, the Parents stayed on 2nd floor and the Couples on the 3rd floor. We had a issue with the elevator and that problem was corrected with a simple call. Great service and excellent communication.

Three generations

Easiest beach access if you can’t be beachfront - it’s right across the street and there’s a crosswalk! Bedroom arrangement worked well for us but we had to supply our own beds and booster seats for little ones. None come with the house. Elevator was nice - made it easier to get all that stuff upstairs. Pool was just the right size for the kids. Be aware that side door to pool area does not latch well and comes open if not dead bolted. Bunk room is down there so kind of a worry with the kids sleeping there Well equipped kitchen but had to eat in separate areas. Common area not big enough for all of us to be together. I enjoyed early mornings on the balcony porch but again there were only two chairs there, more needed. Had to contact maintenance on check in because we couldn’t open garage door. They were able to fix one side so we could all leave house at the same time. There is no key for front door, so if you want to lock up to leave, garage door access is the only way. It was fixed the next afternoon. We never got to use the golf cart, though we saw many on the street. It really wasn’t needed since we were so close to the beach - and car seats are required for little ones, plus we had four cars in the driveway so there was no easy way to get it out of the garage

Codes didn’t work to get in. Terrible communication.

This property is beautiful and great location BUT not worth dealing with the unfriendly & unhelpful management property. Arrived at 8pm and none of the codes worked to get in. No one came to help or assist, had to be on the phone for close to an hour before we got in. One lady was pregnant and exhausted from traveling. Also had groceries to get in the fridge and had to wait to get in. Then the alarm for the pool door would not shut off, and that was the door we had to use to get in since the main door code didn’t work. Super loud and obnoxious. I don’t recommend this management company. I’ve dealt with lots in this area, not impressed with them.

Yearly trip with an honest review

A small group of 10 of us rent yearly in Destin. This year we switched up and tried this home at Frangista Beach. Quick synopsis…house very clean, in need of minor cosmetic repairs, PERFECT distance from beach(60 sec walk across the street), grocery, some restaurants, and other amenities, golf cart was excellent transportation in this area (did not use our rental car at all), pool chilly and semi-private, view was fine—people watching at its finest on the road side. So glad to have TWO extra refrigerators in the garage and some beach chairs. Negatives: kitchen refrigerator freezer section would not open, garage door key panel was not functioning, broken roller shades in multiple rooms, no broom/swifter to clean up sand tracked in, can’t disable shrill pool alarm on door( I know it’s a safety thing for children ) The Mgmt company IMMEDIATELY sent a service tech to correct the fridge. The door was frozen shut. Problem was corrected but there was/is a water leak in the freezer that resurfaced and refroze the door. We adjusted/adapted and used the garage freezers. Garage panel was a clerical error. Wrong code number was listed, a second service tech discovered that. Roller shades would be addressed after we left (our choice ) because they did not interfere with privacy, just light control. If I could have changed one thing (other than the freezer) it would have been to know that the coded door entry is located on the side of the house not the front, and that the alarm that was going off was a “safety” alarm for the pool and not a real alarm system for the house( though it does have one) Using that door for egress to the pool is easier, but all of us would forget to temporarily disable the alarm while exiting. Overall a very good experience and we would absolutely rent at this location again; primarily for its location and prompt attention and EXCELLENT communication from the mgmt company. We really appreciated the text messages regarding arrival, departure, and maintenance status. Thank you from all of us for a great stay!!!!

PERFECT FOR LARGE GROUP

We rented this property for a family vacation in July. There were 16 people total so it was very accomodating for our needs. The house is spacious and has an elevator which we really needed. It also came with the use of a golf cart which came in handy as well. Overall I would give our experience about 3 stars. The house was not ready at check in time and we had to call the property manger. Beds had no sheets and there was no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms upon arrival. The cleaning crew had to come back and were there until 6:00 on Saturday. I would recommend bringing your owns pots and pans if you want to cook meals. The ones on the property are absolutely disgusting. I understand this is a rental propery but the kitchen was lacking basic cookware for preparing meals. The cookie sheets were greasy and burnt.. We cooked almost every night due to the size of our group so using the supplied cookware was sometimes difficult The grill should be replaced as it only heats partially so grilling our food was challenging. We used the grill twice for chicken and burgers and it took awhile to get everything cooked. The location is great for beach access but the street out front is busy and noisy due to the crowds. The outdoor pool is small but adequate to refresh. I recommend the community pool right behind the property. We used this frequently throughout our stay. For the price of the rental and the size of the house, this property met our needs but it definitley needs a few basics replaced.

This was the perfect home for a large group of ladies! The house was absolutely beautiful and literally right across the street from the beach. We unfortunately did not get to enjoy the pool or beach due to weather but we did enjoy the spacious home and common area!

Would not recommend this property. Poor management

We had multiple issues with the house. As soon as we got there, our door code did not work so we had to call the office who gave us their manager code for one time entry and said someone would be out to fix it later that day. No one came to fix it for three days, leaving us to leave our house completely unlocked those days. On our second day, the toilet on the 3rd floor was flushed which caused water to somehow leaks to the other floors. Water was coming through light fixtures on the 1st and second floors. On the first floor, water came through the ceiling fan that spun water all over the room, soaking one of the guests beds and all of their luggage. We used all the towels in the house just to dry up the mess. They got a plumber out 3 hrs later who stated it definitely was not our fault and that he had been to this house recently for the exact same issue. He then noted the house wreaks of paint and said they probably just painted over the damage. The air on the first floor did not work. The balcony doors did not latch, so we resulted in putting chairs against the doors to keep the kids from going outside. Our elevator quit working on the first day so when we bought food we put it in the refrigerator on the first floor in the garage. We soon found out that refrigerator did not work and all our food for the week was ruined. Maintenance men were in and out several times a day for the whole week with big fans and dehumidifiers to dry up the water. They were notified of the other issues throughout the week but nothing was done. I called the property manager when we got home and stated I wanted refunded at least some money. They had a meeting and texted me there would be no refund. No explanation or anything. So I called and asked why we didn’t deserve a refund and they said the plumber stated we clogged the toilet and it was our fault. The plumber assured me it wasn’t my fault. They refuse to address any other issues we had. I requested to see the invoice of the plumber, they said they would email it but never did. I will actually now be contacting the BBB about this company because they are renting out a house with known issues and not fixing it then blaming their customers. They do not care about their customers at all and I would never recommend My Vaction Haven to anyone!

Great Family memories

The house was perfect for our big family, proximity to beach was fantastic. I am the main cook for our annual beach trip because its too hard to take us all out to eat and the open kitchen is great but my one hope is that they either replace or fix the stove top as it takes too long to heat up. I mainly used the large eyeletts and even on the dual setting it took so long to heat up a pan otherwise we will certainly return to this gem.

The house is huge,; great location to the beach. Lots of BR space and bathrooms are plentiful. There is laundry on 1st and 3rd floors which made laundry so easy. The kitchen is well equipped and the outside porches are wonderful. We had 11 adults and 2 little ones and found that the actual sitting/lounging space is limited for a house this size. Also, the pool is very misleading in pictures. It’s very narrow—maybe 6-7 feet across but has nice seating at each end. We paid the additional fee to have it heated for October evenings and it worked out well. However, there is a community pool one street behind the house and it’s beautiful so we used it often. Overall it is a great place for a large group and we had a fantastic time. We will definitely visit again.

The Kennedys Unforgettable 20th anniversary

The home was gorgeous. Upon arrival we found 4 trash cans full of trash and the pool wasnt clean. We called from Thursday to Saturday evening with no return calls until I spoke with Holly. It was my 20th wedding anniversary and I had several couples with us. I was very embarrassing. The owners needs to look into this situation.

Girls Getaway

Perfect house and location for a quick girls weekend away.... although probably larger than what we needed for just 4 of us. Beach access was close and conveniently located across the street. Home was beautiful and clean, a few items needed attention, but nothing major. Would recommend to others, or even stay again.

Perfect, for us.

This property was perfect for the needs of my family: 8 adults, 1 teenager, and 5 children. It's proximity to the beach and the private pool were key factors in our selection of the property. I received a call from the management company while driving down to advise me that the elevator was not working but would be repaired later that day or the next. It was repaired the second day. We really didn't use it until check out day when we were taking things from the 3rd floor to the first. It would have been nice to have had use of the elevator on the day we moved in, but we made it just fine. We did call to report that the lights in the pool were not working and were told it would be repaired, but it never was during our stay. The children swam in the pool at night with no lights, which made me a little uncomfortable. The pool lights would have made it easier to keep an eye on them. The facility itself is very functional and convenient. The layout and floor plan are great. The area is clean and safe. We walked every morning for about 3-4 miles with no problems. We cooked in the kitchen every night with the exception of one when we ordered take out from Captain Dave's on the Gulf which is about a mile away. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils, and small appliances, and cooking with the family was enjoyable. We were able to park 6 automobiles with no problem. I would recommend this property to anyone with a large family looking for a property with a private pool and close to the beach.

The location was perfect! Few steps to the beach.

The house was very nice and clean, the thing I like most was the location. The only note is that the social area is not very big. We were 18 including adults and teenagers and it was a little tight sometimes, but overall great house.

Exceeded our expectations

My family and I truly enjoyed our time in this property. Totally exceed expectations...comfortable beds, nice furniture, great upkeep of property, pool fit our needs with little kids, easy/quick access to the beach. The main complaint and hope there’s a fix, but the WiFi was awful. Tried to reboot the system, help from property management, but that was only a short period fix. Other than that major issue, would definitely love to be back!
