Peaceful

The bathroom is the show stopper of this home...i loved the open floor plan made it easier to navigate with my sons wheelchair...my complaint is the size of the bedroom on the first floor i think personally if a home is described as handicap accessible it should be able to fit the persons wheelchair comfortable in the room....the furniture and appliances are very outdated..there wasnt a telivision in the main floor bedroom which is where i needed it for my son in the wheelchair .the view is beautiful..but theres a firepit in the yard that i was told we were not permitted to use...which was odd..but overall i had a peaceful stay ..with a little tlc amazing grace could reach her full potential

It was what we needed, and in a perfect location for our visit. Unfortunately, we had some non-detrimental issues. No internet/network connection. Tired all the 'tricks' and called Vacasa. They couldn't help, told us they would contact their 'partner' who would contact us. It was late, but we never received contact the first night. Tried in the morning but again, we never received contact from their 'partner' and so, we lived without internet for the weekend. Not a huge deal, but the kids did have homework we had hoped they'd be able to work on during some down time. Really wished they had screens for the porch doors! There was such a perfect breeze but couldn't get the circulation we needed. Downstairs bedroom (twin beds) smelled like old urine, similar to a nursing home facility. Opening the windows didn't really help. The upstairs bathroom was huge and lovely, however, I think they missed out on many opportunities to make it better. The jacuzzi tub is about the size of a normal bathroom tub. Shower is small, even for my 5 foot self. There wasn't many places to hang towels; a bar on the shower door and 2 small hooks near the laundry. The small hooks are no where near the shower or tub. Lots of wasted shelf space and a the large-ish closet seemed pointless. There is no ice machine or ice trays! I don't need a fancy counter top ice maker, but ice trays would have been nice. For a short stay, we might stay again, but not for a week long vacation.

Large yard!

The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The huge deck and private yard was nice for kids to play and run around. The No A/C wasn’t a problem the windows open and fans running really cooled it off at night. There were fans in every room. The large open living room and dining room was great for game nights. Location is close to everything!! I would definitely return.

Shory stay for wedding

Overall it was a great place to stay. The only issue was the door lock batteries died and we got locked out an hour before the I was suppose to be at the wedding. It took about a half hour for them to come fix the lock. Everything else was great.

Quaint and beautiful

Quaint and beautiful house with gorgeous views. The house was very clean and true to pictures. The only downfall, and I wouldn’t consider it really a downfall but they did not have basic seasonings to cook like salt and pepper. And the cable tv was spotty. But other than that beautiful house, perfect for a weekend getaway and close to the lake, Wisp and other activities. All within a 5 minute drive. Perfect!!!

Excellent ski getaway

What a great place for a ski weekend! This house is super cozy with plenty of room, comfy beds, a huge bathroom including a steam shower, and a great location for skiing at Wisp only a couple of miles easy drive away.

Rented this property for a buddies bachelor party. A great amount of space for 7 guys. Had everything we needed including a ton of extra towels, TP, trash bags etc. The location is extremely close to everything and it's only about 5 min from wisp. 10/10 and would highly recommend and would definitely rent again.

Amazing Grace was amazing!

Stayed at Amazing Grace in McHenry. House was clean and charming and made our Christmas vacation perfect. Close to restaurants, shopping, Whisp and State parks. Highly recommend!!

Perfect for our girls’ trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Amazing Grace. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable. We liked the open floor plan on the main level where we could all comfortably gather, relax and cook. The large back yard makes the back porch very private and quiet. We ate several meals on the picnic table and spent time relaxing in the chairs on the porch. The beds and other furniture were comfortable too. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property

Amazing Grace is a beautiful house bear Deep Creek. For us, it was a great location, close to the downtown region and restaurants and only about 10-15 minutes from the lake. The house itself was very clean, except the floors, which hadn’t been mopped at all, so my baby’s knees and hands were totally black with dirt after just a few minutes crawling around. But there was plenty of plates, cups and silverware, several oscillating fans in each bedroom (which helped, since it was hot and humid while we were there); the beds were very comfortable and the picnic table outside under the patio was perfect for eating dinner outside. Our kids enjoyed playing in the yard but would have enjoyed playing in the kiddie pool we brought if there had been a hose. If you come with kids, be sure to bring rubber bands or something to baby proof the cabinets under the sink if you don’t want them getting into cleaning supplies. The bathroom was amazing, although I would suggest curtains for the big windows so you can shower/bathe at night without the whole neighborhood seeing you naked! Overall, the house was comfortable and very well appointed, and we’d love to come stay again.

Beautiful mountain getaway

We loved our time at Amazing Grace. From the cozy fireplace in the great room — the sun-drenched great room, come morning — to the ballroom sized bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and magic shower, it’s a delightful home in the Maryland mountains for a weekend or a longer stay. Well-appointed, warm in the winter, and clean as a whistle, it’s suitable for families and groups of any kind.
