It's a nice clean hotel located not far from beach and blue port shopping mall. If you don't mind walking everything is withing walking distance. Staff was friendly there is a mixture of hotel clients from different nationalities. A few negative points is it's a bit out dated breakfast standard Aircondion didn't work properly. It deserves 3.5/5

For the price and location the hotel is great, budget hotel and get what you pay for. We had a lovely stay and no issues, friendly staff, rooms dated, but no issues at all, we was happy. Aircon worked really good and at no extra cost. Pool was lovely and clean and nice temp. Only down fall, it’s self catering, yet your not allowed to bring your own soft drink to the pool or even eat your own crisps and get told this when turn up to pool after going to the shop as you have to buy from there cafe.

Had a great stay , on my arrival I was met by seleem at reception (not sure of the spelling of his name) he was informative, knowledgeable of area, and professional, his English was great and communicated perfectly,we where early for check-in but he did his best and had the room ready for me in 20 minutes, room was as it showed on booking , and perfectly adequate for us, seleem had introduced me to staff at onsite bar, almena gardens bar and was treated very well, the hotel was clean and,had a great pool with loungers and drinks and food available , have no complaints was great stay.

Terrible room in almena city hotel

When we arrived at the hotel there was a pb with our booking and the manager relocated us to almena city in a supposed larger room with seaview...nive..but we feel we paid far too much for a horrible room. Check you don t get those on the fifth floor, they are shabby and quite run down...broken shower head, walls in a disgraceful state, no air con in one room so our teens took their (uncomfortable) mattresses in the living room and slept on the floor, broken window, no curtains, general bad state...only good things are the pool, the ok breakfast and staff is nice...but please don't have clients stay in these kinds of rooms for 95 euros a night, it s a disgrace! And WiFi doesn't work...

If you're a family, this is not the hotel for you. We requested not to be placed in the attic. We even had the email request translated into Turkish so no errors could be made. Yes we got the attic room. NO AIRCON. Even though it clearly states in the Expedia advert that aircon is included. Although we arrived in Turkey at 10.30pm after travelling for 48 hours from Australia. I still went back to reception and explained we couldn't stay in that room. They put is into 2 different rooms. We had to pay another 810 TL for this privilege. There were no lights in the hallways. The rooms were like walking into a crime scene, there was blood splatter on the wall, bedcover. The card reader was hanging off the wall with wires exposed. The shower head was broken and chipped. The water kept going from hot to cold and just trickled out. There was mould in the shower and on the ceiling. And i havent even mentioned the grime and filfth yet because that was secondary to how unsafe it was. I spoke to the reception staff and asked if I found different accommodation could i have a refund. Yes! Well i found different accommodation but the have refused to refund. Expedia have said they have not answered any of their requests.
