The operational service needs a total rethink. Queues for reception could be eliminated if the systems were simply upgraded and staff trained to manage priorities. Frustratingly slow service is a theme in the Philippines, lagging behind international standards, and it must be improved to enhance the experience of guests.

The hotel and room were very nice, with beautiful design and quality finishes, like the tile in the bathroom. My room was small but adequate for me as a solo traveler. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gym was very nice, but I recommend they ditch the rap music that was piped-in the gym and the pool area. I spoke with other hotel guest who also disliked this awful noise. The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of dishes to choose from. Overall, this is the nicest hotel out of six I stayed in during my trip. I give it "two thumbs up".

Stayed three different times over the past three weeks and each time was better than the last. By the second visit, THEY REMEMBERED OUR NAMES! That blew me away. Such an overall positive experience all three stays. The staff is amazing, always smiling when they greet you in the lobby, or in the halls or the restaurant. We arranged a couple tours through chief concierge Pia and her amazing staff. Rooms are spotless with blackout curtains that overlap (!) for great sleep in comfortable beds with sumptuous linens. I’ve traveled to 45 countries and have never felt so taken care of as i did at the Grand Westside. Highly recommended, and to be sure, this is my genuine assessment.
