This experience was a rather memorable one as it felt private, luxurious, and beautiful. The hotel felt private even when in the middle of a large and busy city. Additionally the accommodations provided by this hotel were on a different level, so much so where even the bathrooms felt luxurious. The scenery was simply gorgeous as it had the most picturesque view of the Nile. One of the food items Khubs was very good, though the omelets were undercooked.

Great staff! So helpful and kind!

Very good location and wonderful staff. They were very nice and upgraded our room during our stay. We had a late flight and they let us have late check out which was kind and helpful. So many restaurants to choose from and we loved that you could rent a boat to cruise down the Nile during sunset. Would stay again!

I stayed for 3 nights, I booked a King city view room, at check-in I was told I was upgraded to a garden view room. Upon getting in the room I was greeted with two double beds. Not having sleep in 24hours reduced my willingness to call and complain. The hotel it’s self is very clean but very out dated. It really should undergo remodeling, especially if it plans to compete with new luxury hotels that are coming in the area. Staff are all kind and helpful. The ones motivated by tips stick out but none make you uncomfortable.

Overall a great place but for the four of us it was a bit odd of a configuration with two double beds. The place was clean food was good and the views of our free upgraded room were fantastic.

I haven’t left many reviews but I realized that I look at people’s reviews when I book a room. This is Great hotel. The staff are amazing. My room had 2 bathrooms, the first time I’ve seen that. I don’t know what else to say. Book your room here!! I took videos and will post them on instagram. If you’re reading this post. Look no farther. Book it you won’t be disappointed. The room, pool, 3 restaurants. Looking for a ride, ask for Tiger in a van outside the hotel, (no affiliations) he is safe a will take you anywhere. Tell him Smiley sent you.

I highly recommend this property. We were originally booked at an alternative property in Cairo, but we quickly left and looked for an alternative. The Steigenberger was incredible. Honestly, it saved our trip and the second we walked into our room, we breathed a sigh of relief. This property was clean, modern, and just fantastic. Grateful they had last-minute availability and that we could stay there.

Truly outstanding staff at this hotel. Great variety of restaurants on site and the river jetty on site is extremely convenient for hiring boats for a cruise or to cross the river to the West bank. We arrived early on a flight to Cairo and left on a later flight and the staff was extremely helpful in accommodating an early checkin and late checkout. Transportation and guides are very easy to obtain both with the help of the hotel and without. The rooms and pool area are spotless and the location on the Nile is superb.

Older hotel with ripped carpet, old furnishings that need some updating. Service in the Italian restaurant was lackluster. Wifi did not work all day and management could not fix this and would not reimburse. Food and service in the Lebanese restaurant was very good. Was disappointed overall, would not stay here again.

Our stay was magnificent. We arrived early from our flight, and they accommodated us immediately with a room, even before the check-in time. The breakfast and restaurants were really good. At checkout, they allowed us to stay longer at no extra charge before our flight back. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The hotel is well-maintained, clean, and located in a beautiful area. I definitely recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful stay here. When we checked in we were upgraded to a side Nile view, overlooking the Valley of the Kings! The staff went out of their way to make us feel relaxed and looked after. Do stroll past the pool and sit in the garden bar on the edge of Nile and watch the sunset and feluccas, so beautiful. We had dinner in the Italian which is inside the courtyard, it was tasty and reasonably priced, but the ambience was amazing with the evening entertainment. Thank you for a lovely stay, I might have to put your New Years Eve party on my bucket list having seen it on your video screen!

As a solo traveler, this hotel was my safe haven. The Nile view room was worth every penny. Incredible view, big room, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very well kept and up-to-date. Welcoming service, easy and efficient check in. The food was fantastic with great selection. The only small recommendation I have is I wish they provided more complimentary bottled water, although that is very minor. Overall highly recommend this hotel while in Luxor.

This reception is dishonest. We were promised free breakfast but they scammed us: We asked if the breakfast was included and he said yes it was free and show us the direction. But next day we were informed there's no breakfast included and we need to pay for it. If they told us the first day, we won't come back but they refused to take any responsibility. It's Ramadan and it was hard to find a restaurant in the morning. If they gave us the correct information, we can plan for it in advance but we lost the chance. Second, it's not soundproof, you can hear other snoring very clearly in your bed and electrical currents running through the room. What's more, the bed is not clean. You can find weird dust on the sheet.
