The minute we walked into the house there was a potent smell of marijuana. I immediately informed our host and was told to open the doors to air it out as the only resolution. We booked this a month before coming to Lubbock for my daughter’s doctor appointment for her asthma and immune system. Due to her health conditions we booked a listing that had strict policies about pets, smoking, and parties. Unfortunately, we were completely let down through this listing. There were no other listings to move to and we had to stay the weekend with the constant smell and no other resolutions from the host. The host said the house had stayed vacant for a week prior to our arrival, but this property shares ventilation with the property next door that the host also manages and has the same regulations. There were many areas of the house that had questionable cleaning such as dirty dishes in the cabinet, hair and trash still on the bathroom floors, and a used water bottle behind the TV. The carpet was crunchy, there were stains on the toilet seat, dirt on the washer soap dispenser, and many beat up walls. For a premier host rating I am very let down. This listing is managed by a property manager that seems to have very little care for how the property is being tended and very little customer service. Knowing our complaint from the minute we walked and that we will be staying three days she never even checked back to see how things were going or offering any resolutions for our situation.
