Over-priced, adequate room

For a deluxe double room, there was very little space. The shower room was very small, with quite a step down into the main room, which felt unsafe. There was no air-conditioning, although an electric fan was provided. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, a coffee machine (chargeable) and kettle downstairs...a lot of stairs, no lift. A budget hotel, with over-priced rooms, but convenient for Paddington station and Hyde Park

Booked this hotel and after reading some reviews was expecting something terrible! It actually was far from that, it’s small it’s basic and it perfectly served our needs for one night while going to a concert at Hyde Park. Great location lots to do around, just don’t get the bad reviews!

Pros: The staff are great. the location is great. the bed was comfortable. Cons: The staircase is so loud you will be woken up every time someone walks on it. The doors to the rooms have poorly made locks that slam shut when you close the door which will always wake you up. Internal heat was on in the building despite it being summer, making the room hotter than it was outside.

Nice staff and clean rooms… the only slight challenge was the train noise. The London Underground must be right underneath the hotel… I was on the bottom floor and could feel and hear the train. This was fine for 1 person for 1 night… and the price was right. Location is great!

I won’t be staying again

Awful stay - if London is predicted hot weather, I wouldn’t advise staying. After some sarcastic remarks from the receptionist I was eventually able to move rooms in the “fully booked” hotel. However the second room was infested with ants. I was eventually moved again but it was a very poor experience with rude staff and uncomfortable rooms. Location might be convenient but that’s about it …

If you're traveling during the summer, it's good to know that this place does not have AC or an elevator. So if you're on the top floor, it's pretty warm esp after climbing all the stairs. The shower also did not have cold water to cool off. The room did have a small fan, but it wasn't sufficient to sleep comfortably when the temps were in the high 70F. It was nice that they had cold water in the lobby to fill water bottles with!

No air conditioning or lift. Had to drag bags up four very narrow flight of stairs. Front staff offered to help. Close to rail station and places to eat and drink. Very friendly staff. Not a bad place to stay, lack of air and lift knocks off a few stars.
