Good stay!

Service and location was great but the hotel is worn. Carpeting in my room was threadbare in some places. However, it was immaculate.

Bathroom was exceptionally clean. Breakfast dining staff were very good. Room walls were a bit thin, and the interior could use an upgrade. One last point - the hotel needs to be a bit more flexible with respect to late checkouts.

The staff was friendly. The location is perfect. The low rating comes from an awfully small and uncomfortable bad for two people. Moreover, our shower was pathetic, with water pressure measuring one finger. The size of the bathroom would not work for a person over 200 lbs. Lastly, don’t pay extra for breakfast. Their breakfast was very primitive, tea and coffee did not taste even decent. There are coffee shops nearby to get breakfast, if needed.

Nice place, clean, comfy, very friendly staff. The room wasn’t huge, but good enough for my purposes. Great value for the location. Great Indian restaurant attached., and very central, next to Gloucester road tube, museums etc Will be using again.

I was in London for a weekend catch up with friends and wanted a decent, reasonable value hotel in the Gloucester Road area. The Montana fully delivered. Pleasant staff on reception, comfortable bed, surprisingly quiet room considering it faced onto Gloucester Road.

Great location, average hotel

I stayed in the Montana hotel with my daughter for 3 nights. We were given a room in the basement of the hotel, which wasn't very welcoming. The basement was a bit tatty and smelly. The room was very dusty around the skirting boards and behind units. Being in the basement, we didn't have a view from the window as it looked out onto a small courtyard, but we didn't mind this so much, it did make the room a bit dark though, even with the window. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, across the road from Gloucester Road tube station. There are bikes to hire nearby, we cycled around Kensington at 1am when it was nice and quiet which was great fun. If I were to stay here again, I'd want reassurance that I wouldn't be in the basement.
