Only a flying visit, I'm afraid, so no chance to sample the wellbeing facilities, but the hotel itself is fantastic. If you're tired of characterless, identical chain hotels and fancy seeing London from a different perspective, this is the place for you. Quirky and fun decor, quietly attentive and friendly staff, really nicely appointed, comfortable rooms - and a killer Negroni in the bar. At this price point, it is excpetional. I'll be back,,,

Our stay was ok. I thought the hotel was very unique, smelled wonderful and the staff were generally friendly, with room for improvement. The room was very average and the unique feel of the hotel didnt carry through, which is a shame. The Homer room felt more like an Ikea build than an historal homage to the poet. The front desk attendants were on and off polite, at times carried on typing while i spoke to them. Restaurant attendant was lovely. Food was great and portion sizes good for the price you paid. I called for more coffee pods and they came promptly. Although no way of knowing how to call the reception as there's no info anywhere. Room cleanup was ok, although no replacement of dirty cups was strange. All in all, i wouldnt return to this hotel but it is a beautiful building with soft touches like family photos in the library area. Thanks for the stay.

Yes the staff were helpful to an extent Our room was freezing upon arrival I tried to switch air con on but nothing I rang reception and they tried to explain how to work it in there words if it doesn’t work it may be a frozen pipe So still no heating Complained again the following day when they gave us a electric radiator Breakfast wasn’t great either Luke warm food and Luke warm coffee / tea for the price I paid for the two nights deffo not worth it .

A unique hotel which is quirky in design from both decor and room perspectives. Very clean and great location for both central London and The O2 but the bed could be a little more comfortable. Also too much ambient lighting from the mini-bar fridge makes it very difficult to get the room completely dark. But a good price for a nice and well kept hotel.

Really nice to stay somewhere a bit bonkers rather than an anonymous white box. We had a comfortable stay and the sauna was nice (although the journey through the hotel and past old conference furniture wasn’t promising. We had the Ada Lovelace room, which was a good size. It did need some attention, though. The toilet seat was detached, the mini fridge didn’t work and the curtains had just been chopped off at the bottom with ragged threads hanging down, and the shower tray was rather grimy round the outside. So, providing you don’t expect the kind of perfection the hotel photos promise, and providing you don’t pay the standard price, it’s an interesting place to stay. Two stops on the DLR to Bank means easy travel to the city.

Its far from everything, not directly on the underground. There are toys all over the hotel and there is a loud over froubd ststion not far away. Its a bit expensive for what it is but the wine was great

What a lovely hotel. The rooms are all themed after various writers - as befitting a former library. We were given a very warm welcome - and everything about the hotel was absolutely perfect. The centre is easily accessed (DLR, Rail and bus's right outside) and there are plenty of things to look at and do around Limehouse (very different to the past). If you've ever wondered what happens to all the bric-a-brac in charity shops, stay here and find out! Highly recommended - doubt that you'll find better value for money in London.
