Basement rooms are a huge no

We were placed in the basement rooms. The room inside was absolutely fine but our room backed onto the breakfast area so from 5am onwards we could hear clanging and cooking and from 6.30 onwards we had everyone walking past, sitting and eating, and talking adjacent to our room. The front door itself moved with every passer by and when the hallway door was used, waking us up 5-6 times per hour from 5-9am. It was impossible to settle when it sounded like our door was being opened form the outside every time a strong wind passed it. My partner also found a hair in their eggs for breakfast. The beans were scolding hot and the rest of the food was tepid. If you get put in b3 then immediately request to move - it’s an awful room with constant and loud traffic. We slept very poorly.

I arrived for a late check in to a supposedly 24 hour desk which was empty, and stood for near 20 minutes waiting for someone to come to the front desk. The room was small but well appointed, and served its purpose - a comfortable sleep for a night

Absolutely lovely hotel couldn’t recommend it. More lovely staff very clean. Would stay again. Only one complaint and it’s very very small. Could do with some better sausages for the breakfast. They wasn’t very good but that’s very small complaint. Lovely hotel highly recommend

New Year at the Kensington Prime Hotel.

Pleasant room and breakfast was reasonable but it was extremely difficult/complicatef to operate both the air conditioning and the lighting systems in the room.
