I booked this property for a small engagement/celebration. The neighborhood is less than desirable as you pass mobile homes and unsightly properties on the way. Getting there is ridiculous as the gravel road leading to the house has multiple deep potholes the size of kiddie pools. Outside is unkept with weeds everywhere. There were fish hooks, bobbers, rotten rope and other garbage all over the yard that we picked up. The fire pit had bricks knocked everywhere. We stacked them all back up brick by brick. Especially enjoyed the dried minnows stuck on one of the deck tables. The gazebo looked like the perfect lakeside location online but it’s in rough shape and in disrepair. Regardless, we hosed it out, knocked down 13 wasp nests, decorated it and made the best of it. TWO guests got stung using the hand railing on the deck. One railing to the fire pit is loose/rotten and unsafe. *The house sleeps 16 but half of those spots are bunk beds. *There isn’t seating for 16 people to eat. *The top rack of the dishwasher falls off because the track stop is missing.*The bottom shelf of the fridge is missing (didn’t see until a plate of appetizers fell into the drawer)*Ice doesn’t work*The trash handle dangles because it’s missing a screw.*The shower door upstairs nearly fell off for 2 guests. PROS:*The house offers a nice amount of space*The A/C works well*The sunset view was lovely*Ample parkingI expected a better experience for the amount we spent.
