Good but NO indoor pool

The hotel itself is good, not new, but clean. The room and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. You have a couple of options for eating and for entertainment. The one thing I would definitely make note of is, hey say they have an indoor pool, but they do NOT. What they don't tell you is they have access to a athletic facilities indoor pool next door. Plus it's also worth noting that the athletic facility doesn't really appreciate them sending people over to use the pool. We specifically picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool, and we that told our granddaughter that we were going to be training together while we were in town visiting them. So this was a pretty big disappointments.

Rooms are fairly nice/updated. We had a very bad experience with noisy people in the halls past midnight. I don't understand why they would put us in a room across from a crowd of what appeared to be teenagers!! - Really? Not very considerate. The Pool area out back could be really nice but is seriously lacking in maintenance and is very run down looking. The hot tub is running during the winter but I didn't even use it...Continental Breakfast experience was above average though.

The rooms need better soundproofing. I was on the fourth floor and I could hear cars and trucks driving by all night. The lady taking care of us at breakfast was kinda rude. My wife asked for orange juice and the lady said it would be an additional charge, we said okay. She never brought us the orange juice.

Mixed feelings on our stay this time

We needed an early check in because we arrived at the hotel early and wouldn't get back until 9 that night so we wanted to get situated. They said we couldn't but then they did to help us out with our late night in. We loved the location of our room but alot of little black hairs on the top of our comforter but not in the sheets. We also had random hairs in our towels. My son and I made due. I did not want to complain because checking in was a bit of a struggle and I didn't want to cause another issue. Breakfast was the best it had ever been. We have stayed at this hotel at least 8 times and we impressed with the difference this year in the breakfast. We did notice getting there earlier was better than after 8:20.

Gem in Lewiston

Had a great meal here as I was traveling through Lewiston. The hotel was quite nice and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. I would definitely choose to stay here again if the need arises.

Worth every penny!

Can't say enough positive things about this hotel. Restaurant was amazing. It's an older hotel but has been very nicel remodeled so you really can't tell. Breakfast buffer was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Staff was super kind and helpful. We stayed with a large group for a sports event and will definitely be staying at this hotel for all future visits. Only thing to note is indoor pool is actually at a fitness center located right next to the hotel but still available for guests to use if the outdoor pool isn't open.
