Bar was well stocked, room was not as described in advertisement, states big tv, bed was a double not a kingsize, marks on the furniture, marked as rainshower or whirl pool bath and did not get either, bed was very uncomfortable, view was of a wall and not garden view, rang and asked for a 4 poster bed and whirlpool bath with it being for a wedding. Very disappointed with the stay

The staff were lovely. We had the evening set menu which was very nice with very decent portion sizes. The reason rhat I haven't given this hotel five stars is that there were no usb charging points in the rooms, this is so easy to rectify. Also our room was on their third floor, the staff member suggested we use the lift, but this was a bit pointless as it only went up one level!

Stayed at the 3 horseshoes as a mid way break on our way up To The Lake District for an wedding, hotel is clean and comfortable, bar is well stocked and they weren’t Charing rip off prices, the restaurant was very good , wide range of food available, we were joined by our daughter and 6 year old granddaughter for dinner , the staff were really accommodating with us changing time of meal … even though they seemed a bit under pressure as they had a wedding taking place …

AVOID IF DISABLED I have a little trouble walking because of a fractured spine. Our room was upstairs at the far end of a corridor. The pub and the restaurant are completely unsuitable for wheelchair access (steps). So for our 3 night stay I couldn't use it, having to walk up and down stairs to eat or get a drink, and then more stairs to get to our room. I was exhausted and stressed. I very much regret booking this place for our 10th wedding anniversary. Spa treatment prices so expensive, I didn't bother. The food choices were fewer than our stay 2 years ago. Meals were expensive, not reflected in the quality of the food. On our last day, we skipped breakfast altogether. We didn't fancy grizzled bacon, underdone toast, over scrambled eggs or cheap tasting baked beans. Guess what? We won't make another visit.

Poor customer service

Not great value for the price. Room was very warm and tv cable came out of the tv every time you opened the curtains. Some in the restaurant for both breakfast and evening looked like they didn’t want to be there and weren’t interested in helping their customers.

Best Wedding Venue

We were staying for a wedding - the whole experience was amazing!! The spa was unreal, the prep room in the morning and the level of service was incredible. Massive thank you to Lisa who looked after everyone the day of the wedding! Fantastic - 5 star!!

Really nice place and would stay again but I would probably remember to book a room with a bigger bed 😂. We didn’t do the Spa but maybe next time. The restaurant was lovely and some amazing views overlooking the Peak District. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
