Cozy Cabin

We loved our stay at the cabin!! The house was so cozy and clean. We enjoyed the hot tube which was also really clean. The kitchen had pretty much every pot & pan we needed as well!

Amazing

Such a relaxing getaway for us. This cabin had it all! It's on a corner lot so we got more privacy. They had movies, board games, and coloring for Great family time. The sauna was amazing to come back to after a leavenworth day trip.

Winter fun

Cabin was great. Appreciate being able to have the dog with us. Hot tub is a great perk! Only issue was with the WiFi. Only works if you’re sitting next to the modem in bedroom.

Relaxing

It was a nice get-a-way. Nice place. Brought own firewood. Hot tub worked 2/3 nights. A guy came and fixed it the next morning. 30 min from Leavenworth.

Lovely and cozy

Beautiful home. Cozy and sparkling clean. The hot tub and fireplace are great touches. The only issue was that the assigned Vacasa point of contact never responded to questions during a power outage. Still leaving a high review for the house itself because we really enjoyed it. But there were some communication issues on the part of Vacasa.

Best Getaway Ever

We came to the Leavenworth area for a week of fishing and it rained nonstop the entire time. However, thanks to the absolute charm, cleanliness, coziness of this cabin we spent a wonderful week cooking, reading, watching Netlflix. This place has a completely stocked kitchen: plenty of different sized pots and pans, utensils, a variety of seasonings in the cupboard. Comfy living room furniture, smart TV. Evenings were perfect in the hot tub. The property is very private, cannot see any of the surrounding houses. Our dog loved the big yard..it's been left natural so he enjoyed exploring. Everything is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Definitely heading back next year.

Small but mighty

Property is accurately described. Very clean. Filled with very helpful information on the area, books , DVDs and games. 3 queen beds with one private room. Well stocked with spices and kitchen needs. Hot tub clean, BBQ filled with gas. You can tell it is dog friendly but that didn't bother me as I am a dog lover. Just note for those who are not. The ONLY thing they could work on is that the beds are HORRIBLE. Do not expect to have your best nights sleep.

Cabin in the Woods in July

I loved the location and proximity to Leavenworth and Wenatchee. The house is accommodating to dogs which was a huge plus. The setting is pretty private with plenty of parking. The hot tub is also very private and kept clean. There’s a smart tv and wifi along with dvd player. The house is about 12 miles from Leavenworth and 8 miles from WNF so it’s pretty easy to navigate. The house itself has its quirks and when I notified vacasa they quickly responded with a desire to remedy the issues. We walked into a house with switches in random spots, lights not working, mattresses that were uncomfortable, the toilet ran the entire time we stayed, mystery switches, cobwebs on most of the light fixtures, the bathroom fan wired to a wall light that has a burned out bulb, the switch for the ceiling fan is towards the ceiling in the dinning room, and a plug in the kitchen with about 5 items running to a 120 outlet, one of which is the microwave. It’s not for the faint of heart. If your main purpose is to be out an about the cabin will suit you fine. If your planning on the cabin being the focal point of the trip there are nicer cabins not needing a handyman service call.

Cozy and lovely setting!

Had a wonderful stay at the Cabin in the Woods, just the idyllic woodsy setting we wanted. It is some distance from Leavenworth, so if you're driving with snow chains as we were during the first part of our stay, it is a bit time consuming to drive to the city, but next time we'll come with traction tires and save time. We loved the ambience and the wood stove, and found the kitchen really well stocked -- they even had real maple syrup in the cabinet, possibly from a previous tenant who left the good stuff. There are a few wonky things like the bathroom doorknob which doesn't turn the expected way, the bathroom faucet is VERY difficult to get to a medium temperature and should be fixed, and the random light switches other people mentioned, but these things didn't detract from our stay. We loved the provision of hot tub towels, and the hot tub was wonderful in the snow! Throwing snowballs into the yard from the hot tub felt like the height of luxury. So glad they have a structure over the hot tub so we could enjoy it even when it was raining, which it did the whole time we were there. Also appreciated that they appeared to have salted the porch area and had a nice mud room to remove and hang wet things, but we did need our snow chains just to come up the unsalted drive and not slide into the house even after the road had melted. They provide dog beds and a bowl which is nice -- we brought our own but maybe next time if we come back, will use theirs.

Has potential, needs comfort and cleanliness

Overall, not a bad experience. It was a cozy cabin with a cool stove in the center and decent kitchen. There were just too many things that made our experience more of a burden. The wall behind the stove was dirty with food splatter, major turnoff. There was collected in harder to reach spaces but were very noticeable. Most notably, the top fan, which spread large dust snakes with bugs and flies all over once we turned it on. Lastly, the beds were AWFUL!!! We had the worst time sleeping; they were hard, the pillows flat with no cushion, and one of the bed frames was very noisy. Turning in the beds at all meant waking your partner or whoever is sleeping with you. Worse beds than hotels. Only two cooking pans, one of which huge and chipped, making cleaning it a bit annoying, considering how inexpensive cooking pans can be now days. New ones would not hurt. TV was also a nuisance as it was very slow and would take almost 5 seconds at times to respond to a simple volume change. We realistically expected more considering how much we spent, but it really isn't a bad cabin, just the details need more attention.

Nice location to Leavenworth

Myself, and two girlfriends, spent a long weekend here. We enjoyed the back porch with comfortable chairs. We did some venturing out during the day, and the kitchen was more than adequate for cooking dinner in twice. We had issues with the heating, and nothing was ever done really other than emailing us to turn the heat up. Well, we knew that. Finally, at 85 the house started to warm up, on the end of the second day. By the last day, the heater was working good. Was slightly disappointed no one physically came over and checked things out, or brought us a space heater for the living room. We used blankets when we watched TV, and the mornings were cold. We were not told there was a burn band in effect and that we couldn't burn the inside wood stove (which we were told in the listing it was the only source of heat, therefore, allowed to be burned during a burn band). It got quite cold at night. We bought firewood, and had to return it. So that was a pain. Also, the bath tub could use a mat down in the tub, it was a little slippery. Otherwise, the house was nice, location great, beds very comfortable. Everything worked and we so enjoyed ourselves.

Perfect Getaway Cabin

This cabin is so cozy but has plenty of space. Took some out of town family for the weekend and they loved it! The high ceiling and beautiful woodwork is a joy to wake up to in the loft with views of pines from your bed. All the amenities, clean, great shower pressure, and close to so many hiking and water activities. Will definitely be back!

Nice, quiet, well appointed

Great place - close to fishing, a short drive to Leavenworth. I was there for a small work project but brought my wife and son and extended my needed stay a couple days. It was close to some fishing spots we like and an easy drive to Leavenworth. Went to the Reindeer Farm too - lots of fun. Hot tub is great. The cabin is in a neighborhood but very private and nice.

Great stay

The place was great for our family, equipped with everything we needed including full kitchen, games, good selection of DVD's and Netflix, a tire swing outside and lots of nearby outdoor adventuring. The hot tub was great, and it was a beautiful place to soak (it just lost heat at one point, but property manager responded immediately about how to resolve that). Overall the home was reasonably clean, but it needed dusting and the rugs were NOT clean and covered in dog hair - we ended up having to vacuum them ourselves.

Spring break get away

Nice cabin and amenities. Hot tub was nice , but did have issues with temperature control. We did contacted the agency and it sounds like this has been an issue. Some areas of the cabin could be cleaned better, but all in all we had a great time!

Blissful mountain stay

Access to the property is easy. Although there are neighboring homes, you feel pretty secluded — even outside. The hot tub was fantastic for those cold nights after a long days hike. The furnace was easy to light and maintain and indoor fires are one of my favorite cold weather activities. The kitchen was very well stocked with tools and we ended up home cooking all our meals except a couple. It’s very near both town and plenty of hiking. Overall amazing stay. Will definitely consider coming back!

Great

Very comfortable home in the woods - clean and well appointed. Very close trip to Plain grocery to get the essentials, and nice scenic ride to Leavenworth to get more stuff ( they have a great natural market on the main road with an awesome selection of organic produce, gluten free stuff, etc). The house was quiet and peaceful. They had a nice selection of reading material and DVD's and good TV selection (we don't have Amazon Prime at home, so we watched some shows we'd been wanting to see.) The hot tub is ready when you are (it was already perfectly hot when we got there), and it was very comfortable. It had been a long time since I'd been in one and now I want one again. All in all, a great place to stay - Thank you!
