Great Family Gathering Location

Beautiful and peaceful. Just what I wanted in a vacation home. Sleeping space for all family groups, nice kitchen and deck, wonderful spaces. Enjoyed very much!

Family visit 2022

This is really nice place to stay. This cabin have everything for a nice restful vacation. Very spacious. Owners amazingly good and friendly. Already recommended this place to quite a few of my friends and whenever we will plan to go to Black Hills, we will stay here only. Thanks to the owners for opening their vacation home to us.

Great house, friendly house owners

I am so glad I decided on this house. The house was clean, stocked, owners were great to work with. There was 9 of us and if you have a bigger crowd, this is for sure the house to rent. Very private and we had turkey's and deer in the yard most everyday, but it was fun to sit on the covered deck and watch the fawn's and mother too. The sites from this house were great too. Everything about the house was great!!! Would for sure rent again, thank you to the home owners Kirk and Julie

First time house rental for 8 of us when in South Dakota

Recommend to follow directions provided than the GPS, which takes you up the steep hill by the conveinance store then tries to take you down an undriveable road. The actual roads to the house are decent for the bikes, though several speed bumps. Once at the house, there is a small grade. We had trikes and there was one two wheeler, who had no problems getting up and down the grade and into the garage. The Garage was big enough to house 4 trikes and a two wheeler, which was great. The house was beautiful upon entering.. There is however, a lot of stairs, got our steps in for sure. The lower level was the coolest in temperature and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us. Each morning we would sit and have coffee, enjoying the serenity and the views from the house and in the evening we would have a few cold ones and enjoy watching the deer graze in the yard next to the house. The place was clean and had a lot of furnished items we could use, grill, appliances...The hot tub never did get up to any higher temp than 97, so was only used by one person on a very hot day. All in all, we really enjoyed staying here. We enjoyed the calmness, the quietness, and the serenity of the place. The owner/management responded to every text sent and was easy to work with.

Kirk was great to work with. The house was a great central location for all the attractions in the area. My only suggestion is bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. We had no access to extras when we ran out. Also, the pots and pans are small and hard to use cooking for a crowd. We have stayed at several rentals and you just never know what to expect. Overall it was a great week and we enjoyed ourselves!

Beautiful cabin & nice location

The cabin is not only spacious and decorated well, it is also fully supplied; dishes, cookware, utensils, a washer and dryer, crockpot, chairs to seat everyone. I've found some cabins this size are undersupplied but that is not the case with this cabin. We are repeat customers because we love this cabin! Kirk is amazing to work with and is very responsive. Every year we sit on the deck and watch the deer and squirrels in the trees. We found a major benefit to this cabin is the deck. It is on two sides of the house so you can sit out in the sun or sit in the shade. We can't wait until our next stay!

Great stay!

The house is even nicer than the pictures. We had large group of 11 people and the house worked out amazing. Everyone had their own space, yet if we all wanted to be together we had plenty of room to do so. The only very small complaint I have is that the pots and pans weren't the greatest for cooking for a large group, but we did make it work. Otherwise everything was great. We had a small issue with the grill, and I called the property manager, and he drove out immediately to replace it. In all I would 100% recommend this house, and would stay here again.

2021 Family Getaway

My husband and I rented this cabin for 5 nights and decided that our families could really use a break too from after the COVID craze. So we stayed a couple nights then the rest joined in. The cabin was amazing and the views of Terry Peak was breathtaking! They also had everything you needed for cooking/grilling and plenty of dishes, silverware, etc for all 12 of us. We highly recommend Peaceful Pines Cabin and will definitely try and stay again! Kirk was also very easy to get ahold of and accommodating.

We had a wonderful stay!

We had such a great time here. It snowed on our way up and they had already been up working on removing the snow. They even laid some sand so we could make it into the garage. Was a great place for my families to all enjoy some r&r. They even had sleds in the garage for my kids to ride the next day. Can’t wait to be back. Really needed that peace with my family. Fit all 10 of us comfortably!
