The house is the last one on a small private lane, so no through traffic. Stepping over the back fence takes you into Fort George State Park, full of majestic trees, and many reminders of the French/Indian/British Colonial/Revolutionary wars. This area was one of the most fought over, and historical artifacts are everywhere. Walking through the park brings you right onto the beach and the lake. The house is very spacious and comfortable. It was spotless. There are sitting areas in the living room, in the sunroom at the front and in the huge main bedroom. A smaller bedroom has bunk beds, ideal for kids. Two showers and washrooms, one upstairs and one down. A TV in each of the three sitting areas. Large dining table in the living room and a smaller one in the kitchen. The kitchen has all necessary appliances, utensils, pans etc. and allows full meals to be cooked. It is hard to convey the sense of peace that comes from sitting on the back deck, seeing the sun slant down through the trees, and hearing the birdsong. All communications were promptly answered. The check in instructions and welcome info were clear and helpful. I really enjoyed the stay.
