Hotel is close to Kyoto Station. Very nice hotel and even nicer staff. Hotel has everything you need. Close to shopping and the metro.

Stayed here for a night hopping over to Osaka next day. Good price, rooms were big and clean! Fridge takes a whole day to get cold unfortunately. Everything else was fantastic.

We booked because of proximity to the train station, however it does not tell you that you need to go up a flight of stairs to use a pedestrian walkway to cross the road. This is difficult when carrying luggage. However, the staff were lovely and very helpful, and the hotel has a shuttle bus to bring you back to the station.

BEWARE of costs! Overall we had a good stay. The breakfast buffet was decent with a huge selection of food. We (family of 4 people) stayed in a Japanese style room. Once the table and chairs were relocated to the closet, there was plenty of space. Having the toilet separate from the shower was convenient and the show space was huge. The bathroom areas lacked adequate lighting. The rest of the hotel was well maintained and the staff were friendly. Prices for meals beyond the free breakfast were very high. Beware of questionable costs. I was told the facilities fee covers the breakfast but does not cover the pool. This does not align with Expedia which says the pool is included and breakfast is not always included. BEWARE: the pool costs $23 per person for 2 hours of use!! It is not included in the facility fee as advertised on Expedia.

Hotel review

Hotel was clean, shower pressure was outstanding. Staff was friendly and helpful, each floor had and ice machine and water filler that gave out ice cold water, good start to a hot day. Plus a 10 min walk from Kyoto station is nice if you are bringing luggage or doing tours. Only thing I did not like was the fact they charge to use the pool per person per day.

with two young children, my wife and I stayed in this hotel for three night in July 2025. The only thing we liked about this hotel was its location, as it is close to the convenience stores and the Kyoto Station. the things we did not like about it is as follows: 1) We found 3 cockroaches in our room. the room was not super clean either! 2) they charge extra for the breakfast of the young kids. At least in another hotel we used in Japan the breakfast was free for 5 yrs old and younger kids. 3) they charge extra if you want to use swimming pool or the gym.
