We had a great stay at the hotel — it was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, I wouldn’t recommend booking a taxi through Expedia when staying at the Pegasus. Our driver never answered the phone, and we ended up having to pay another driver on top of what we’d already been charged when booking. Disappointing end to an otherwise good experience.

I would have rated them 5 stars but the breakfast was disappointing. I don’t know if it’s because it was Saturday but the only option was cooked liver. Seriously for what we paid to stay there at least provide some cállalo and fresh fruits. I’ve been to the Sunday brunch so I know there are much better options. It’s a well maintained hotel and everyone was welcoming and pleasant.

The meal offer was strong and its USP. Staff, I felt, were often contrary, for example, on the first morning at breakfast, a server said to me, “Sir, sit down and a server will come to you.” I waited and waited for coffee, but neither she nor a colleague turned up within 10 mins. I understand it may have been busy, but messaging wasn’t sharp or precise enough. In the other hand, another server subsequently offered to get me a bowl of porridge; it was very kind but I went to get it myself. Oh, I agree with everyone who says that Richard is the man - real boss man, consummate professional. Having travelled with my own cafetière and coffee, I made a late drink up in the bedroom daily. On each occasion, after the room was ‘cleaned’, stray coffee grounds were still in the mug (which was by this time turned down, having been ‘washed’). Sorry, attention to details was not good. Staff at reception were variable in their approach, response and general welcome. I suspect PD sessions will see to this as it is a shortcoming. Lobby and general areas were clean, though annoyingly, the leaf blower which is constantly in use…and noisy, is not electric, but the bedrooms have a bin for recyclables. Sustainable messaging needs some consistency, as much as possible.
