The only issue we had with this was the beds weren’t very comfortable and it would have been really nice to have an extra mini kitchenette for coffee in the second house because it’s very noisy going in and out of the main house if others are still asleep. I highly recommended this spot for two families with kids… the sleep set up greatly accommodated this! It’s a lovely spot on the water. We loved sitting by the river having coffee in the mornings. Side note, boats fly by really fast creating quite a bit of wake that can be dangerous for kids trying out the kayaks.

we’ve stayed here in the past and it’s always been a great place to stay at. We love the separations of the rooms and how spacious the home is. the kitchen has every dish you can think of to cook and eat with. lots of towels and blankets use. and this place is pet friendly as well! we loved being so close to the water. We will be back again :)

Need a place to dock your boats

Fantastic place in every way, except no place to tie up your boats, which was the whole purpose of our trip. It does say in the printed listing dock not available for use, however we just saw the dock and upper deck in the photos and ASSUMED they were part of the rental. (Our fault, no fault on the part of the property management)

Weekends getaway

The house was very nice for our getaway. The only problem we had regarding the listing was it states there’s a community fishing pier and family swimming area that we were unable to find. A gentleman near by stopped to let us know they were going to b working on a picnic table so I asked him as well and he was unsure as well. I also sent a message through the app to ask and the answers I got was to check with the city, which to me didn’t make sense. I had also inquired about fishing off the concrete which runs next to the water (not the deck or fishing pier) but that was never answered. I think better guidelines in the rental agreement would solve this. We seen all the outdoor items available but didn’t use any of them. The house was comfortable. They do have the dishwasher tablets complimentary and trash bags. We seen dish soap but it was an empty bottle and there was no other cleaning products incase of a spill or anything. Which isn’t an issue for some but when traveling with kiddos things can happen. Most of the rentals I’ve stayed in had basic cleaning supplies available so I wasn’t prepared but there was a dollar general and dollar tree close by. Having those minimal products available I think would help keep the area maintained better by the renters. Once we got dish soap we did wash all the pots and pans as others must have just put in dishwasher and they had grease built up. All in all it was a great place and a beautiful place to take in some awesome sunsets.

Stay for family reunion

We were in Kingsland for a family reunion. I had my husband, mother-in-law and her sister and husband. All are senior citizens. The place was very clean, beds were comfortable, AC working well. We did not take advantage of all the water equipment, but saw it there. This place is right on the water with a great view. There are a few stairs up to each home which was a bit of a struggle for some of our older folks, but we managed.

Cozy lake front

Good for family with the 2 separate areas. Very quiet location and close enough to shopping. Loved that they had a Wii cause it rained the last of our stay but that made it better!

Lake retreat

We were 7 adults and 4 children...the space was great loved the location on the lake. We all enjoyed the floating island and the kids enjoyed fishing from the waters edge. The kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed for cooking. Cons: It would have been better had we been able to use the dock... the ladder to enter the water was not secured to the sidewalk(a safety hazard for entering and exiting the water)....had to be careful walking to the other building at night trip hazards and pretty dark to navigate. Pros out way the cons would like to stay again.

Like being in a post card!

This place is like being in a postcard! The cabin is well stocked, and the view and lake activities are awesome. The beds had nice sheets and were comfortable. Plenty of space between the two buildings for our entire bunch. I just wish that the fireplace highlighted on the VRBO site would have been functional. This is a gas-only fireplace with no switch visible and no special instructions. Queries sent to the rental manager were never replied to. It was very chilly while we were there for our spring break trip. I would suggest VRBO listing mentioning that the fireplace is not functional or detailed how-to instructions. Please know that as a seasoned 5 start STR owner myself, I am very surprised that not one person has mentioned the lack of detail to deep cleaning (oven was dirty, windows dirty, outside grill dirty, and corners of most walls had adult spiders). But, with all of this in mind, we had Canadian geese come and talk to us for tiny pinches of bread, watched an Osprey pick up a fish, got to go on a canoe ride, and saw my grandson catch a fish. We made priceless memories and our adult kids want a do-over this summer. So, this is a 4 rating in my books balancing the good with the bad.

Awesome lake house and time

Plan on visiting again. The owners did a great renovation on both buildings. Alots of space and had relaxing time. Even went swimming thanks to my grandson. Water a bit chilly!

Fantastic place

We loved staying at this property. It had a great view and was very serene. We did go in the winter though so not much swimming or boat traffic. This house has so many extras that you wouldn’t think would be included. Every kitchen item you need including spices. A lot of little touches like nightlights that they include that made our stay even more enjoyable. Very cute house with lots of puzzles and board games. Family had a great time and would love to go back.
